Affordable Versatile Dutch Oven

I own several different style of Dutch ovens but none like this one.This Dutch oven is so versatile! I already used it to make bread and soup! The way it is designed is amazing. The large domed top could be used for soups, stews, pot roasts etc while the bottom is a perfect platform for baking a loaf of bread. When baking bread on the thinner platform, the large domed part becomes the top of the bread maker. Ingenius!I couldn’t decide on the choice of color finally choosing the green. I love the green ombré color! It’s more beautiful in person as I’m sure all of them are.The Dutch oven itself is extremely durable made from cast iron. It is heavy but manageable. I appreciate the wide handles for easy lifting and transferring from counter to oven. Having the handles on the sides as opposed to the top allows me to open the Dutch oven with ease.Clean up was a breeze! Just a little soap and water, dry thoroughly and add a little oil to re-season the cast iron.If you are on the fence about investing in a Dutch oven, I highly recommend this one. Not only can you bake a loaf of bread, you can also cook in it too. The current price of $54 is incredible! A very reasonable price for such a high quality item.

Versatile- not only for baking bread.

I have been fascinated with making my own bread, and this gave me the excuse to dive headfirst. First, the finishing on this cast iron Dutch oven is beautiful. The glaze is various shades of blue, so vibrant and sparkling that I have had it out on my stove as a display piece. Being cast iron, it is HEAVY. This is a good thing- it ensures the cast iron quality we come to expect. No issues with chipping or flaking whatsoever. Flipping the over and using the “top” makes it an excellent soup pot. I was just discussing with my husband how I can make my homemade tomato soup only eat in it. I saw on the advertisement a steak being cooked and I think that might be my husband’s next project for this.

Solid bread oven with great heat retention and a beautiful finish

I used this cast iron bread oven mainly for baking bread and was pleased with how it performed. The shape and depth feel well suited for sourdough style loaves, and the lid fits securely, which helps trap steam during baking. The dark cyan color adds a pop of color without being flashy, and the surface feels smooth and well coated. This thing is heavy duty. It could cook a roast or a whole chicken. Very versatile as you could cook in the lid also.It says that you can cook with it on top of the stove as well as in the oven.It is listed as something to bake bread in but it is so much more than that!Very well made, I didn't expect this quality.This would be an heirloom that you would pass down to your kids or your grandkids.
