Little but mighty

It’s very cute. It’s also pretty small. I generally bake two loaves of bread when I make bread and I feel that this isn’t even a whole loaf of bread. It’s a nice quality and baked the bread well. I used it to bake a meatloaf and it worked out well.The price is right. I love the cast-iron. I purchased another oval Dutch oven that is larger, so when I make two loaves of bread one will be a little smaller and one a little bigger. It works out perfectly for me. I’m also new at making bread so maybe it would do one loaf of bread, I may be overthinking it. I’m not sorry that I purchased it and I would buy it again, just know that it’s small. I’m also an older adult so smaller and less weight can be helpful.

Worked great

Finally decided to try this new loaf pan. It is a little smaller than I was expecting. People always say that even though the dimensions are clearly shown, but is just sink in till you have whatever it is in your hands. That being said, it did make a great loaf of sourdough bread. I used brown paper liner. So, size aside, this does work. My first loaf in the pan I cut back the fresh milled whole flour back to only 450grams. Next loaf I will go up to my normal amount, 550grams and see how that goes.

This is fabulous! I'm finally able to make my sourdough in cast iron in a loaf shape! It comes out looking so good, and bakes perfectly every time. Love it and am so glad I got--I am making bread more often now and feel good giving it to people in a shape that keeps all the slices the same size. The lid is perfectly elevated for the first half of baking.

I took off a star due to pan being 11.92 x 6.41 not 13 x 5 as is advertised on your page. I guess the marketer figures the extra inch in the width makes up for the lost inch in length? Most women consumers who take their art of baking seriously don't appreciate inaccurate advertising.Seems to be in perfect condition and is heavy as expected. It should perform well. Im going to give it an extra seasoning per enclosed instructions.Note to those new to cast iron - don't scrub cast iron with water and/or soap! Follow instructions and do educate yourself about cast iron.
