Versatile, good size

This is my first cast iron pan and my first wok. I love the shape and size, it's so versatile for cooking a variety of dishes. I've used it for stir fry and for braised pork. The flat bottom fits perfectly on my electric stovetop and it is not overwhelmingly large. The pan came with cleaning tools and instructions for seasoning, which was super easy. I just used regular canola oil. While not as nonstick as a teflon pan, food does not stick terribly if you preheat it properly. Furthermore, you can really scrub hard at stuck on food which you could not with nonstick surfaces. Maintenance is not as intimidating as I anticipated. The quality seems to be quite decent. The pan is heavy due to the cast iron, but feels sturdy. You do attach the handle yourself out of the box. It comes with a nice tinted glass lid.
