Adorable
Like so many thing that make us happy in life, these are entirely unnecessary and not entirely practical and yet, seeing the one loaded up with fresh cherries sitting next to me makes me smile. These are ceramic little "bowls" modeled after the pressed paper fiber pint buckets you commonly see fresh produce sold in at farmer's markets. They're not to scale but they. exude a stylized charm that makes me think of collecting fresh strawberries at a you-pick field as a child. While not a 1-to-1 scale hey're great quality with no rough or unfinished glaze. I thought the included "mats" would be blotter card stock like what are used in bars and restaurants as drink coasters and was pleasantly surprised to see they're more like little round mouse pads with a rubbery non-skid back and a soft fabric-like texture on the surface. they're white so I don't know what'll happen the first time I use them with something like rinsed blueberries or raspberries or anything sliced but I'm in no hurry to test their stain resistance. The included set of four little forks are nice and serviceable but frankly, the least interesting part of this package to me.My only slight nit-pick is that these don't nest very well. Instead they stack. the lip on the top is wide enough to cleanly hold the base of the other so. that if you put them in a cupboard, you don't have to worry about the top one sliding off and breaking but they do take up extra storage when put away with this design. To be fair, they have multiple pictures in the listing showing them stacked like this so they're not hiding that. It just didn't register in my mind until I had them in-hand.I went back and forth on getting the white or the green with the green having a more classic look but also kind of not being my favorite color and clashing with every other kitchen/serving item i own. i finally settled on the green to keep that classic look and I'm glad I did because the color is far more muted in person than it appears in the pictures. I'd have picked the green without hesitation if I'd known this is what they would look like in person.I'm beyond thrilled with them and if the quirky design you see in the pictures appeals to you, i think you'll be really happy with these too!
These little ceramic berry baskets are a bit smaller than I thought they’d be, but honestly, I still really like them. The quality is solid and they feel sturdy, the glaze looks great, and they have a nice weight to them. I’ve been using them to rinse and serve strawberries and blueberries right on the table, and they just look so much nicer than a plastic container. The small size actually works well for small batches of fresh berries, perfect for a snack or breakfast. They also come with little forks so no one gets their dirty finger in the clean fruit and mats to keep the moisture off my wooden table.
I got the pearly white version of these. And they’re beautiful and mimic the baskets found at supermarkets in farmers markets, and are a great way to present your fruit - either for yourself or when you have guests over. The quality of the ceramic feels very good and each basket has a nice glossy sheen to it that is also very smooth to touch. Both baskets arrived in pristine condition and with no nicks or deformities. I would definitely say this is crafted with care and quality materials. I give these my "TRIED-and-TRUE" SOLID 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ STARS Rating!I only give five star ratings to items that I use and exceed my expectations for quality, functionality, ease-of-use, premium appearance/looks, durability, & when possible: Sustainability/Ease on the Environment. I hope my review helped you gain some insight and I appreciate you taking the time to read it. Thank you!
These are really cute, well made little cream colored ceramic berry baskets that come with non-scratch mats and a set of 5 small forks. They are rather small though, so you are not going to fit a large amount of strawberries in them, but you might get one of the small punnets/pints of blueberries, blackberries or raspberries in them.I think they will look cute on a table as part of a breakfast layout, but as they have holes in, be careful of spilling juices.
Pros: these are a great value. They have a really pretty rustic and warm, but clean look to them. Easy to clean. Survived the dishwasher just fine.Cons: they are relatively small and don’t fit many berries all at once. If you like to wash the entire pack of berries and save them for later, as opposed to clean as you consume, you probably want a bigger option. Also, I wish they were more stackable. They seem way too fragile to stack and also don’t stay put as they are, the top one ends up tipping over when stacked.
