Dishwasher Safe, But Not Microwavable
These bowls are durable and have a lot of functionality. They can be put in the refrigerator and freezer, so you can get them really cold for your cold foods. They’re safe to go in the oven, so you can bake in them – individual servings, or just a smaller amount. Clean up’s easy, too, as glazed ceramic dishes are naturally non-stick for the most part, and you can just put them in the dishwasher. However, don’t put them in the microwave because they are not microwavable. They’re, also, lead and cadmium free. The marbleized look is really attractive, and is on the inside and outside of the bowls. They also have a woven relief pattern on the outer sides which gives them a little bit of grip-ability, and they have a thin golden ring around the outer top. They’re a little heavier than a regular bowl, but they’re a good size and hold a lot – easily up to 20 ounces, but I wouldn’t do more than 16 or so if it’s liquid you’re filling them with for risk of spilling. They measure just over 6” across, from outside to outside, and almost 2 ½” high. They’re stackable for storage, but they don’t really nest and sit all the way down in the bowl below like some other bowls do. They sit more on top of each other with a little bit dipping down inside the lower bowl – about an inch. So, they do end up taking up more space than my other bowls, because I have to have two stacks instead of just one stack of them.If you’re in the market for a wedding gift, housewarming gift, or just need new bowls, these fit the bill, and are a fairly decent value for the size, type, and quantity you get.

Nicely detailed bowls
I'm genuinely pleased with these bowls, which look pretty much in person like they do online. The grey marbling is a bit darker in person though. The size is perfect for a bowl of soup, cereal, salad, pasta -- neither too big nor too small. I wouldn't describe them as large enough for Pho though (as they currently do). But in any case, I really like the patterned ceramic, shine, and the silver rimmed detail. I was a bit wary to put them in the dishwasher since many metal rims come off with the heat, but these were absolutely fine. Will see how they do over time, but as of now, these are good. The only reason I dropped a star is that there's no information about microwave use. I see one of the reviewers experienced sparks from the silver rim, so I am definitely not going to use them in the microwave... which limits their utility. So with that caveat, I would still recommend this set at this price point but just be aware there are limitations.

Gold‑Rimmed, Heavy‑Duty Everyday Heroes
This six‑bowl set quickly earned a spot in our regular rotation. At 5.5" in diameter and holding about 17oz, they’re a really versatile size - great for soup, cereal, fruit, chips, and plenty of other everyday uses. They’ve handled the dishwasher with no issues, coming out clean and looking just as good as when they went in. They aren’t microwave‑safe because of the gold rim, but the seller is very clear about that in the listing, so I’m not deducting any stars for it - just be aware that you can't use them in the microwave. They stack neatly in the cabinet, and even though they look delicate, they’re surprisingly heavy‑duty - they’ve held up to my teenage sons’ breakfast routine, which is less “gentle dining” and more “controlled chaos.” The textured exterior also makes them easy to grip, which is a welcome change from the bowls we’ve had that seemed determined to slide right out of your hands. At the time of this review, the price was $24 after the available coupon, and that feels about right for a set of bowls this sturdy and well‑designed.Overall, I’m pleased with them - stylish, practical, and tougher than they look.

Great but Do Not Put in Microwave
I am reviewing the “Ceramic Cereal/Soup Bowls, Set of 6”. Brand name printed on the underside of the bowls is “Colaymaxiu”.The bowls are attractive on the breakfast table. The bowls are dishwasher safe. I washed all 6 bowls in the dishwasher before using them. I put one bowl in the microwave half filled with water just to test its safety in the microwave. The description as well as “Rufus” claim these bowls to be microwave safe. Within 5 seconds, there was sparking on the gold-colored edge stripe. I immediately stopped the microwave and examined the bowl. The bowl looked fine, so I tried the test again with the same sparking. I imagine the gold-colored stripes are metallic. See the photo of the bowl with fruit to see the gold-colored stripe. I would not recommend putting these bowls in the microwave. The color and design work well with our everyday dairy dishes. We used the bowls for fruit this morning – see photo. We will use these bowls for soup tonight.I rated this 3 Stars as description claims these bowls to be microwave safe yet they cause sparks in the microwave.Pro:• Attractive 17-ounce bowls• Work well with your current dishes• Amazon price is only about $6/bowlCon:May not be microwave safe as advertised.Edit Jan 13 2026Shortly after posting my review reporting bowls as NOT microwave safe, Amazon removed the Microwave Safe claim in the description. The name "Colaymaxiu" is printed on the bottom of each bowl. After several dishwashing cycles, the name washed away. I believe "Colaymaxiu" was printed on the finished product and NOT baked in to the ceramic bowl. I doubt that "Colaymaxiu" is the manufacturer.
