Surprisingly versatile, but it's not the easiest thing to cut on due to the bumpy surface.
It feels kind of like a plate and a bowl had a baby, and the plate mostly won.I do love how high the edge is, because it really lets you pile in things like bean dishes and things that have a lot of "loose heaps" of food. If you are sick of your plates overflowing or having a tough time pushing food into your spoon from the edge, this is for you.I appreciate the finish on it, and like the slight bumpiness to the texture. It feels more like a older vintage ceramic product, But to do note that because of that it is not an even surface for cutting things on. So you don't necessarily want to serve steaks on it. But I will say that a steak knife has not abraised the surface of this at all yet.The enamel covering on it seems to be really robust so far. I've run it through the dishwasher a few times and there hasn't been any major issue with it yet. If anything crazy pops up I'll let you know, but for now I'm giving it 5 stars because it's kind of better than I expected, feels pretty solid and should last for a while. Also, the colors are pretty nice, but fairly basic. Nothing splendid or bright, just slightly muted. Perfectly fine.

Cut set of plates perfect for lots of things - each plate has it's own color and add some color!
These plates arrived well packed and just in time for pasta night. They are an excellent choice when you've got something that might require some fork cutting, but a plat may not work due to the sauce situation. Each plate has it's own slightly different but overall coordinating color which makes them fun and adds some color to the kitchen. They've cleaned well and have quickly become a hit in the house for nights where we need to grab a meal on the couch before a soccer practice or school event.Overall these are a great value, the set is perfect for most families and you can double order if needed - they coordinate well with any existing decor and place settings and are extremely useful! They clean and store well and overall we are very happy with them.

Nice High-Edged Plates, but Not True Bowls and Colors Don’t Match
These arrived well packaged and are nicely made, but they were not quite what I expected based on the listing. While the description says “set of 4 colorful speckled dinnerware,” it isn’t immediately obvious unless you zoom in that each piece has a different color speckle pattern. In person, the difference is much more noticeable. The set includes red, green, blue, and a light brown (listed as orange), and they do not match as a cohesive set. If you’re ordering quickly, this could be easy to miss.In terms of shape, these are more like high-edged plates than true bowls. Although they are labeled as pasta, cereal, and soup serving bowls, they are quite shallow. Measuring from the inside, they are only about 1 inch deep, and the bottoms are fairly flat rather than curved. As a result, they would not work well for cereal or soup, and I also wouldn’t consider them serving bowls by typical U.S. standards. They measure approximately 8 inches across rather than the listed 8.25 inches. That said, the quality is good. The ceramic feels sturdy, the textured finish is attractive, and the brown rim adds a nice detail. I also appreciate that they are microwave and dishwasher safe, which makes them convenient for everyday use.Overall, these are well-made high-edged plates, just not the true bowls described. My biggest issues are the mismatched colors and the shallow depth. If you expect deep bowls for soup or cereal, these may disappoint. However, if you’re looking for durable, decorative plates with raised edges, they could still work well. They are solidly made for the value despite the color and depth issues ($39.99 Feb 2026).

Attractive and easy to care for
These ceramic pasta bowls are a solid addition to my kitchen. The 32 oz capacity and 8.25″ size make them perfect for pasta, soups, salads, and even hearty breakfasts. The glazed ceramic feels sturdy and substantial, and the slightly deeper shape helps keep portions neat without spills.Ideal for everyday meals !! roomy enough for big portions or saucy dishes. Ceramic is thick and feels solid; mine have held up to regular use without chips or cracks so far. Clean, classic design that fits with most table settings; the neutral finish looks simple yet elegant. Quality ceramic with a smooth glaze that doesn’t feel cheap. Good value for a set that feels well-made without costing too much.Ease of Use & Cleaning: Microwave and dishwasher safe, and the smooth glaze makes cleaning easy with no stubborn food sticking.Overall, functional, attractive, and easy to care for, great bowls for daily use!

Wide and deep pasta bowls
These are wider and deeper than my various other pasta bowls. That's a good thing. Except you do have to be careful about portion control. These are sized more like small dinner bowls.Of course pasta bowls can be used for all sorts of things. My first use was for gumbo, which needs to be served in wide and shallow bowls. Spaghetti is shown in a photograph with this review. Note the depth and size of the bowl. Tonight will be a Cobb salad to go with pizza. The bowls are heavy ceramic. The foot ring is very smooth, which is a plus on easily damaged tabletops. The texture over the whole bowl is nubby, slick, and smooth. The flecked colors disappear when in use. The rims are consistently brown with flecks.I priced the pasta bowls that we currently use as if they were independent of the rest of the sets. These reviewed bowls are about the same price as the equivalent quality ceramic bowls. Sometimes add-ons for pasta bowls cost as much as an entire set of dinnerware.
