The dish is designed in the style of a Bain Marie double boiler and uses a Sterno-style heat source, making it portable since no power is required.The inner pan has dimensions of 12-1/4” diameter by 3” depth to the rim, which allows for a comfortably usable volume of around 3 quarts, or perhaps a bit more.It requires assembly, which can be done in under 10 minutes using a small Phillips #0 screwdriver and either a pair of small pliers or a 6 mm wrench.This chafing dish is a great starter option for those like me who didn’t have one. I was able to purchase ethanol-fuel chafing dish fuel inexpensively at the local home supply store. Enjoy!

Low quality for the price

This is overpriced for the fairly low quality. I do like that it is lightweight, the gold finish looks pretty nice, it has a good capacity, and it works well for a party. However it is flimsy, and requires lots of assembly with tiny screws for an item like this. Instructions are picture only and there are 2 different kinds of screws and extra parts so the screws could have used labels of some kind. After painstakingly attaching the frame to the legs, I realized the frame has a name brand on it and was upside down. Better instructions could have prevented this. The way the lid holder is made, you have to scratch the gold finish to put it on or take it off. It’s not awful but you can get the same or better for a lower price.
