Excellent quality at this price point

If you have a family like we do, all the holidays include a large, loud feast. In our case, we make hundreds of ravioli in several flavors. Having these on the counter and keeping them warm is always a challenge, so when I saw these chafing dishes, I couldn't pass them up.The dishes come in multiple pieces, but they aren't hard to assemble. I had all 4 assembled and ready to go in about 20 minutes. All of the pieces are well made and are very sturdy when assembled. The finish is very good and what I would expect to find at an event in a hotel or conference. I didn't find any flaws or manufacturing defects in any of the four dishes. We have given them a test run by inviting neighbors over for breakfast and they were impressive. The Sterno cans fit perfectly and they were easy to clean up afterwards.These are very good quality chafing dishes at a great price. These work well for home or an event, so I find them well worth the money.

Nice chafing dishes at this price point.

Chafing dishes are as advertised. I believe they look better in person, especially for the price point. I have seen some that are a lot more opulent and heavier, but those were a lot more expensive and designed for constant use in professional environments. These are perfect for a wedding, church dinner, or even fancier events. They use the typical sterno, or equal fuel. There is a water dish and the food dish, not just one dish which would be directly heated. There is a holder for the lid that actually looks pretty good, not like a mere after thought. Additionally, it holds the lid with fair security. I bumped it a bit and it held the lid well. Of course, you can knock it off if you try hard enough. The gold trim is done well with none of the cheesiness I was expecting. You do have to assemble these, but it's pretty easy. They do supply a little wrench and screwdriver. The wrench is usable, but do yourself a favor and grab a #2 Phillips in place of the unusable supplied #0 driver. Nice dishes at this price point.

Large, sharp looking set of chafing dishes; supports both hot and cold servings

Putting one of these together took me about 20 minutes; the instructions are clear but in pics so I had to go back to the sellers page twice to make sure I was putting it together correctly (primarily making sure the prongs were placed properly –inside or outside over or under). Once you have the first one assembled, the rest should go quicker. The base metal is on the thinner side so be gentle when assembling. Come with a some patience as both the hardware and tools are small. Be prepared to wipe down once assembled as fingerprints will get everywhere; however, they were easily wiped off with a micro fiber cloth and looked sharp when all shiny (and fingerprint free).I tested the chilling option with ice. It took about 8 cups of regular refrigerator ice to fill the pan enough to hit the underside of the actual dish holder (and lift it slightly from the base pan so you know the ice is touching the food pan). I checked it by touch and an ear thermometer and it kept the pan cold! It was stable on my countertop and will hold large amounts of food. I also liked that the lid popped right into the holder and didn’t move around.These will be great for gatherings but storage might be an issue. I don’t have room in my kitchen for this large set so I need to store these in the garage. I put it together for storage as best as possible and will cover these with a garbage bag to keep them dust free and looking good. This set is nice and large enough to use at a more formal gathering yet practical enough to use for a house gathering. Note that since these are on a base these also might be best placed on a regular height table or buffet. Still accessible from countertop height (like an island) but they will sit higher.

Good quality for the price

I bought these chafing dishes (pack of 4, 6 quart) to use for a buffet I hosted at my house for church, and they worked very well. They’re great for personal use, church functions, and fairs, but I wouldn’t consider them heavy enough for full commercial catering. The price point is good for the quality, and everything looked very nice once set up. Assembly was quick and straightforward, and the gold accents add a nice touch to the table. Light Weight Stainless Steel

These chafing dishes are made with light weight stainless steel. The set has an elegant look, but does not have the strength or durability of heavier stainless steel. The units do the job of keeping food warm with the hot water system in each dish. The set is easy to put together, tools and instructions are provided - extra screws and nuts come with the set. The set would be ideal for home and family use, but not durable enough for a repeated catering situation. Arrows show weak construction points that could fail under load of heavy food dishes.
