Perfect for Entertaining
This is one of the most functional charcuterie boards I have ever seen! It is made of bamboo and feels sturdy.It can be used with or without the center stone depending on the occasion and what you are serving. I like to chill the stone first if I am serving something like cheese to keep it cool.The set contains a white wax pencil that you can use to write on the stone and a smaller stone marker stored in the lower part of the tray. When you slide the tray apart you will find various implements in the lower section to be used for serving hors d'oeuvres.The lid has side latches that snap into grooves in the bamboo base, making it more secure when using the handles to carry or move it. (I would still carry it with a hand beneath the base for support.) The handles fold up for carrying and for removing the acrylic lid, which is nice to have on a charcuterie board to keep foods fresh, flies off if outdoors, and for easier transport if you are taking it elsewhere for an event or celebration.
