Coastal theme, perfect for entertaining, exactly what it appears to be.
This coastal themed charcuterie/ cutting board is exactly how it appears in the listing. Well finished and smooth, it’s a great attractive little piece for entertaining or just a date nite at home. I photographed it next to a standard dinner fork so you can see the size (although the listing is accurate as to dimensions). Also a close up of the pattern. If you click on the listing video, you can see how these are made so each pattern will be a little different than the one I have.A few observations/ notes.- Not surprisingly, it has a chemical smell fresh out of the package, (it does have paint and shellac on it after all) so I plan to let it air out for a few days before putting any food on it.- There are no care instructions included. I washed it with mild dish detergent and I think that will work fine.- I don’t think I will use it as a cutting board since I don’t know what was used to coat it, and I don’t want to scratch it, nor possibly get pieces of coating into the food I’m serving. But I’m sure it will be fine for precut meats and cheeses, crackers, fruit or anything you don’t need a knife to cut. That’s why it only gets 4 stars.If you are looking for a charcuterie board in a coastal style, I don’t think you will be disappointed with this purchase.
