Excellent cheese slicer for prep work in the kitchen

Out of the different tools I tried, this one worked the best!Reasonable quality and nice looking. Don't really care for the cutting lines etched into the board. Everyone thought it took away from the look without really adding much benefit. Another brand's plain stainless board looked better but this one was slightly larger which in the end made me go with this one. The quality of the BuzzHiveX also seemed slightly higher.

Great idea, crappy cutting wires

I really love this product with the exception that the cutting wires, included with it, are really weak. Try to cut through a block of cheese and it will stretch, leaving enough slack that it won't cut all the way through. You either have to reshape the connectors of the wires constantly, or replace them regularly. Could be easily fixed by wrapping the wire around a small bead of plastic and enlarging the receptacles where the wire is held. Or having a thicker permanent wire rather than small replaceable ones.

Broke 1st use

The 1st time I attempted to use this cheese cutter it broke.Not to mention, I had it sitting on my brand new butcher block countertop- I slid it towrds me- and it scratched my countertop! So angry. I shouldve cut my losses there but I thought "ok I shouldve been more careful I guess" So I tried cutting a chunk of sharp cheddar. The wire wouldnt even cut a straight pc, it would bend and cut in a curve. Then when you are cutting- it doesnt cut all the way through, you have to lift the cutter off the counter and guide the wire into the cutout.After about 3 or 4 slices- the wire just snapped and got me on my finger.I gave up at that point. I returned it.
