wanted spoons like my mama and grandma had, these are nice old fashioned wooden spoons but still not my mamas the old ones had rounded on the end handles and a little thinner and deeper spoon bowl, but these will do for constant use for cooking in coated nonstick pans rather than a hang on the kitchen wall decoration that they sell in the stores nowadays, these can take some abuse and use

They are cheap but work. maybe it's just a bad spoon. used twice, both times hand washed and air dried but split down the middle.

I have to admit I was a little skeptical about purchasing these. However, since they were so cheap, I thought I didn't really have anything to lose. I'm a 30 year old single male and I enjoy cooking. These spoons have been great additions to my kitchen. The three different lengths have come in handy because I cook with various pots and pans that are different sizes.If you're nervous about how to keep them clean, it's really simple. I found that if you give it a nice scrub with dishsoap after use and soak it in warm water for an hour, it should remove most of the stains. Just make sure you put some kind of weight on top of the spoons so they stay full submerged instead of floating to the top. You won't get rid of all the stains because food and sauces will seep into the wood - it's inevitable. However, over time your spoons start to develop awesome color and character.Another thing I like about these spoons is its weight. They're not too heavy and they're not too light. It provides the perfect in-hand feel.I highly recommend these.
