Very nice heavy smooth cutting knife

Just received and opened this knife. First thing I saw was a nick in the middle of the sharpened blade edge. I'm not reprofiling a new knife no matter how cheap it is. Will be returning. I knew a knife this cheap was a risk, but I thought they'd skimp in fit and finish, not blade quality. QC is obviously not very thorough.
This is a great knife. It feels weighty and solid in your hand, with a good heft for chopping vegetables (that's what I've mostly used it for). Blade is sharp, and the knife feels good while cutting. Enjoying it so far.
Right out of the box, the blade was incredibly sharp. The balance is excellent; the knife feels light but controlled, and the handle sits comfortably in my hand even during longer cooking sessions. So far, the stainless steel has held its edge really well. I’ve only needed a quick touch-up with a honing rod, and it’s still slicing beautifully. It’s worth noting that you do need to hand-wash and dry it right away to avoid water spots, but that’s expected with higher-quality knives.
This is a rugged feeling quality knife. It has a nice weight to it and a curved blade for a nice rocking motion when dicing. It also has a full tang and sharp edge. The built in hole for your finger helps to hold the knife stable and the ribbed section also gives extra stability for your forefinger.
