Outstanding product!
Growing up, my mother always used the standard potato masher. I had no idea there were better ways than one Thanksgiving at a cousins house. I am mashed potatoes for 30 people in 15 minutes using an eraser. I’ve never gone back. This is the best of four or five products that I’ve tried from my manufacturers. The piston fits inside the cylinder tightly enough that potato does not lose around it. Leverage is good enough that you don’t have to work too hard to mash the potato. It’s easy to clean and easy to remove peelings parentheses no need to peel the potatoes before racing.) An excellent product, well worth the slightly higher price

Easy to use, little strength necessary & juices citrus like a beast too!
Prior to this, I never used a ricer before and wanted to see what the fuss was about, so I did a little research and discovered this one was America's Test Kitchen's top pick. First time ever using it, I riced 8lbs of russet potatoes and the last squeeze was as easy as the first---no difficulty what so ever. I also needed to juice an orange, and since my lemon juice was too small, I used this, and it squeezed every drop of moisture out of that thing!!! I may use this in place of my citrus juicer from now on!!Updated with pic of the smoothest, creamiest, tastes like my favorite restaurant mashed potatoes, I've ever made. (Used Martha Stewart's potato puree recipe on YouTube *chef's kiss*)

Powerful ricer
The ricer that I been using was great but the screen through which the potatoes were forced kept sticking to the plunger. I got this device because it didn’t have the removable screen. In fact, it had small holes in the basket through which the potato was forced. It also had holes on the side of the basket and here was the major problem. The lever that forces the potatoes through the screen gives you great leverage and pressure. Potato strings go shooting out these side holes and can travel several feet! The only way to avoid creating these ‘projectiles’ is to not fill the basket. I highly recommend this ricer but be careful of the projectiles.

Overpriced but works well.
although it does work, it’s expensive. Do you need it? No. This is a want it, not need it item.

Tried a bunch of Ricers and this was hands down THE BEST!
Tried a bunch of Ricers and this was hands down THE BEST!Easy to use, easy to clean and of all the ricers I tried, this one left hardly any residue, so it riced almost the entire potato.Because of the way it's made, it doesn't take much pushing to rice the whole potato.Plus, the part the you put the potato in is metal and easily removeable, so super easy to clean.I cut the potato in half and do each half separately and the mashed (riced) potatoes come out fluffy and wonderful!

Best mashed potatoes
I use this anytime I'm making a potato dish that requires super smooth or whipped potatoes and it works amazing. Has provided me with the BEST mashed potatoes and twice baked potato fillings. Also amazing for making aligot...highly recommend for home chefs trying to upgrade their potato dish game! It's super durable and easy to clean, and overall easy to use (don't need to press too firmly to rice the potatos thoroughly)
