Terrific Machine

I got this machine for my 8- year-old mother-in-law. She is a master baker and has baked all her life but now her hands cannot handle the kneading. We did not want a big heavy machine that does 20 different things. We wanted one simple small light machine that kneads dough for muffins, cakes, empanadas, breads of all kinds, pastries, cookies, you name it. This machine does it all, does it all easily, and is a joy to use. My mo-in-lo is particular about her baked goods, and she's been cooking for 70 years, really knows what she wants, what she likes, and what she doesn't like. She loves this machine. We've had it for over 3 months now and she uses it maybe four times a week. She's made every conceivable type of bread including pita and Turkish bread, plus many cakes and other types of pastries as well. It is simple to use, and the fermenting option works every time. We've had zero problems with it and it's been used constantly. We really couldn't be happier with this product.

Love this machine!

This machine is so much better than using a dough hook on a stand mixer. I made a simple white bread dough for my first dough. The kneading process was easy to setup. If I didn't feel like it was kneaded long enough I could simply add a little more time. The fermentation feature works excellent. I live in an old Japanese house that doesn't get heated well in the winter, so I can see this being a life saver this winter to get the dough to rise. I think I might actually be able to retired the bread machine to the recycle shop.As I mentioned I live in Japan, and ordered this from US Amazon and had it shipped directly to Japan. Which was nice as other similar machines wouldn't let me. The voltage here in Japan is 100v/50Hz. I was concerned the motor might not have enough power at the slightly lower voltage. That was not the case. It also didn't seem to affect the fermentation process.

Metal and plastic in dough

I love the idea of the machine. And it worked well the first few times. But the plastic lid isn’t very sturdy and slivered off into the dough after it broke from the bowl due to the dough rising. Then the mixing paddle stripped itself and left some metal shards in my dough. And it this was very basic soft bread dough. Returning the product soon for refund. This isn’t safe for regular use unfortunately.

Kneads like a champ!

I made excellent, satin smooth brioche dough (rolls) for my first try.Today I kneaded sourdough cranberry walnut bread. I poured all of the ingredients into the bowl. Covered it. Turned it on. Walked away after setting the timer for nine minutes.Upon my return, there was a perfectly mixed ball of dough.Yes it is noisy, so you would need to talk on the phone in a separate room, if you got a call. But the noise is not troubling to me, and no louder than a stand mixer. The motor and kneading arm are very strong!

A good machine

It works well. My dough got a good kneading and a well done fermentation. All function works. I just want to suggest that the manual writing could have more details and lustration. Such as, the panel only have three buttons. For long time pressing a button, you could cancel the processing action.
