AMAZED! DAZED! and CRAZED!
Wow, what a LOVELY LITTLE ( don't blame the mfg for this - if you do not read the capacity-it's small) BUNDT pan! Made home-made apple-spice cake in it; used PAM, and this was the SMOOTHEST release of any cake I've ever made - stick or non-stick bakeware. I noticed that this one had NO SEAM where the tube joined the funnel area too, but I will make sure it is dried thoroughly - so no rust can get in any crevice. I used a heavy batter (I only use olive oil), thick with chunky apples, and raisins, and this entire cake lifted right out. I am impressed for days over this. Going to order 3 more - holiday baking will be very easy. YES this is TINY, but tiny in a good way. Today I'm going to make another apple cake -and will freeze these-- I did not halve the recipe as the remainder went into muffin tins as I planned----for some cold rainy October day to come. The design was clear on the upside down part, and for us - no icing. But for holidays, I may do a light drizzle-glaze depending on what I make. I THINK this lovely pan would make the most wonderful heavy-type pumpkin breads, and spice-cakes. How about a deep dish devil's food chocolate cherry cake? Served with "red cherry lava sauce" in the center for dessert? Or, "chocolate lava sauce?" I can think of many things that would be a terrific recipe. It would make a great gift, too but definitely get one or two for yourself. I say two - because when I bake - I will freeze one for another date. Best Cake Pan, ever! BUY IT!
