Nice looking pan. Bought it to make personal size pizza or quiche. Only thing that seems strange is the description on Amazon says "round cake pan is coated with food-grade silicone, which is PFAS and PFOA free" but nowhere on the packaging did it say that. Plus it doesn't look like it's coated with silicone, more like ceramic. So now I'm skeptical.
I love this cake pan and need to get another! It is nonstick and free of the toxic chemicals that are in most nonstick pans. It washes super easily! The unique color is an added bonus.
Steel cook and bakeware is so easy to use and clean, it’s no wonder it’s a favorite for so many people. This cake pan is just such a perfect candidate for those who love baking with carbon steel. The material is sturdy and thick, not flimsy at all. It’s coated with food grade silicone, non-stick, but I still use just a quick spray of cooking oil to ensure cakes slip right out of the pan with ease. It’s a pretty green color, because who doesn’t like to add a touch of brightness to their kitchen whenever possible? All in all, this is a very nice pan. I ordered the 9” size. It has a decent size rim that makes it easy to handle going in and out of the oven. It’s PFA and PFOA free, which is good news for those who don’t want to introduce chemicals into their system. And heat conduction is good, making sure your food is heated and cooked through thoroughly.The only two features I find less than perfect is that it can only withstand heat up to 428 degrees Fahrenheit, which might limit menu choices, and it’s hand wash recommended, which is not ideal for me, as I prefer to use only items I can wash in the dishwasher on a sanitize cycle. But what is an inconvenience to me might not matter at all to another cook, so don’t let that scare you off if that you.
Chefmade round 8 inch cake pan, non-stick for pizzas and pies, fantastic pan, it has changed my priorities, I have always got by with cheap and old pots and pans, I am here to testify the difference is worth it. Simple to keep clean, solid investment for an affordable price.
This 8-inch cake pan is excellent. It’s made of high-quality steel, and the nonstick coating performs beautifully. I’ve already used it for brownies and a few other bakes, and everything has come out evenly cooked and released from the pan with no sticking.Cleanup is just as easy—just a quick hand wash with mild detergent, and it’s good as new. I also appreciate that it’s made without harmful chemicals, which gives me peace of mind when cooking for my family.I’ve found that the Simple Mills gluten-free brownie and cake mixes fit this 8-inch size perfectly—they bake evenly and come out great every time.Overall, this is a well-made, reliable cake pan that delivers great results and is simple to maintain. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys baking.
I use a cupcake pan made by Chefmade and I love it so it was a no-brainer to add this round cake pan to my collection. I opted for the 9” pan. I did notice a little discrepancy on the max oven temp for this where it states up to 428° F on the listing but says 450° F on the paper that this pan was wrapped in. Not a huge difference but I wanted to test this at 450° so I roasted some veggies in it and it did absolutely fine. All I added was about a tablespoon spoon of melted beef tallow but I don’t feel that was needed for the veggies to not stick. I only tossed some onto the veggies so my seasonings would adhere better.What I like about this pan is that it has a decent weight to it but it’s not overly heavy. The 9” round pan weighs just over 10 oz. I also feel comfortable with the non-stick coating on the carbon steel being that it’s a non-teflon coating that is PTFE and PFOA free. The coating is done evenly and I really like the blueish grey color of this pan as well. It just looks pretty. ☺️The edges on this pan are rolled under nicely and the outer edge is a bit wider on this than another branded round cake pan I own.I just see no negatives with this pan. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat as well as their other pans, which I plan to continue adding to my array of bake wear as I’m able.For anyone interested- I looked up some info about this company. From what I read, Chefmade was established in 1999 in Memphis USA as a professional bakeware brand serving that local market. In 2012 Wellcook Kitchenware Co. Ltd (founded in 1984) acquired the Chefmade brand which expanded its presence to the global market. Chefmade has registered trademarks and patents in 60+ countries and has passed the strict quality inspection standards of the German QVC Global Top 5% quality program. I found some global certification test report photos for them on their website for FDA, DGCCRF, REACH and FLGB, although I didn’t verify them to be true. I’m personally going to trust in them being so.
