Really nice pan, but description incorrect in several ways

I really like this pan! I love that it fits in my toaster oven so I don’t HAVE to heat up my large wall oven. Its nonstick finish makes cleanup easy - however it indicates it is not to go in the dishwasher. I would guess the dishwasher might lead to rust or perhaps harm the nonstick coating. I plan to mostly hand wash and dry it, but will possibly toss it in the dishwasher from time to time (because I’m a rebel that way). I like that there are over hanging edges all around the pan. It makes it much easier to grab the pan to remove from the oven-something you appreciate as the years start catching up with you.Things about this pan that cause it to lose a bit in this review - the size listed is not correct. Check some of the review photos for actual listings of the pan interiors. I also object to the description of this as a “loaf pan”. You can certainly bake bread products in this pan, but not a LOAF. The pan is not deep enough. If I was naming the pan I would call it a brownie pan.Additionally, the listing indicates the pan is microwave safe. It says it’s made from steel. Umm, that’s a very big “no” on the microwave. Don’t do it.Other than the listing issues, the pan itself is quite nice. It makes a good addition to my bakeware.

I ordered this CHEFMADE Square Cake Pan, 9-Inch Bakeware Non-Stick Carbon Steel Pan Deep Dish Oven Baking Mold baking pan for my kitchen; I needed a 9” dish for certain recipes, and was also planning to use this to hold water in the oven while baking bread.I have a variety of different sized baking pans, but somehow lost my 9” pan in our most recent move. I have a number of favorite recipes that best fit a 9” pan, including my son’s favorite lemon squares, so I’d been looking for a nice 9” baking dish for a while.The pan is non-stick and made from heavy gauge carbon steel. I bake bread every day or two, and I put a pan of boiling water in the bottom of the oven to get some moisture into the heat and get a satisfying crust. The pan I had been using was quite old, and eventually it started to rust out. The non-stick coating in this pan should protect it; so far, so good! I empty the water after baking and dry as soon as it cools enough and the pan is holding up well.This pan is a blue-green color, under certain lights, it looks more blue. The square pan measures about 10.51” on each side, if you are measuring it from the rolled top of the sides. The bottom square of the pan is closer to the 9” measurement. (By “bottom square”, I mean the bottom of the pan; if you look down into it, you can see the square base.)This baking pan is lightweight, even though it is made from heavy gauge carbon steel. It is easy to lift and carry, easy to slide in and out of our gas oven.I’ve been hand-washing and drying this pan because of the no-stick surface. It cleans up very easily. Great for baking, or for reheating leftovers. I also like using it as a reservoir for boiling water at the bottom of the oven when baking bread.
