No heat; no return

First, part of the problem is mine. I bought the waffle maker in Sept, with the intention of using it for a family Christmas Eve. I was foolish not to take it out and use it before then. Come Christmas Eve for our pajama party and waffles, I plugged in the waffle maker to heat. When both lights were lit, I tried to make a waffle ... only to discover the lights were the only thing that worked. No heat. Nothing. So, here I am with a waffle maker that does not work at all. So, please, unpack your waffle maker as soon as you get it, or you might end up with with one that doesn't work but also can't be returned.

Survived me dropping it, so an A in my book!

The meh: The light that goes on and off to let you know if the waffles are ready per side is not accurate, so just peek in.The good: I dropped it (after the light thing, FYI). It survived great, still works fine, not a single dent on it. It heats fast, turns nicely, the timer definitely is accurate in terms of how tan you want the waffles, and clean up is just wiping out. The plate underneath is a great help. Would purchase again.
