Worth it once you get going

Really happy with this purchase. Good price & hopefully it’ll last a few seasons. A couple things that may be helpful; 1). make sure the lid is on (need to give it a little twist before pressing down), otherwise it won’t work. 2). This isn’t for lightweights. You’ll need a bit of muscle to use this over & over. 3). Some of the pits will stay with the cherries. Run your hand over the bottom where the pits come out and you can pick them off there. 4). Count your pits each time! It’ll save you a dentist bill!Overall, pitting 7 at a time is a huge time saver, it works well enough once you get the hang of it, and I do recommend this.

Broke first time, bad design

I ordered this back in July and unfortunately just used it today, 9/4/2025I first noticed that the Tines are plastic and the tray that holds the cherries sat on very small "stoppers" which prevent the tray from sliding into the catch bin.First use: The tray got pushed INTO the catch bin and now I can't remove the bin without possibly breaking it.This isn't a product you should use if you will be pitting the full 7 cherries at one time, as trying to push the plunger was difficult for an adult, and nearly impossible for a child.One design aspect would have been to put metal tines vs plastic, as well as a larger lip on the catch tray that extended to the edges. Also to put wider tray support beams for the tray holding the cherries.Suggest you look at better designed cherries. You get what you pay for as they say.
