Handy Little Tool!
This is a handy little tool for the cherry or olive lover! I originally got this because my kiddos absolutely love cherries and cherry pie but I absolutely hate pitting them. It's time-consuming and it's super messy. This little tool helps alleviate some of the time and a lot of the mess.This little gadget comes in three pieces. The bottom which holds the cherry seeds, the midsection where you place your cherries for pitting, and the top red portion that does all of the work.Once you place your cherries in the middle section you put the top on, press the plunger and voila! Nicely pitted cherries! When the plunger is compressed there is a plastic portion that comes out in the shape of an x that removes the cherry seeds. Also, this gadget allows you to pit seven cherries at a time! Once you are finished, all of your seeds are nicely contained and can be easily discarded or composted! This is much more convenient than the bottle and straw method and exponentially cleaner!This little gadget also has a scalloped shape so you know that your pieces are always aligned appropriately for the perfect seed removal. One slight concern that I have is The cleanability of the red portion. When I clean this I use lightly soapy water and rinse it off really well. I then shake the red portion to get all of the water out. However, I do worry about the red section maintaining water and build up after extended use. It looks like this portion might separate into two pieces but I haven't tried to separate it as I'm afraid I will break it. Overall, this is a great little tool that can really help expedite the cherry or olive pitting process!

Great tool for de-pitting cherries, easy to use and saves a bunch of time! I've been waiting for cherry season so we could try this out. It is really easy to use, you just have to watch that the pit/seed doesn't hang on via skin to the bottom of the cherry.It's simple to use, pull the stem off and place the cherries in, and then push down to get rid of the seeds. They collect in the bottom for easy disposal. Love this!

great little gadget
This is a great way to speed up the pitting process. We used to have a single pitter, so we'd spend hours in the kitchen removing pits to make bourbon cherries. Now we can do 7 at once. This lets us fill a jar with cherries in minutes! What a timesaver!Realistically, this does work well. It's a simple design, and pops the pits out without destroying the fruit.

I told myself no more kitchen gadgets, tools, or appliances that only do one thing. This neat little gadget was worth breaking that rule! Easy to use and clean. Huge time saver. Okay for olives but cherries would probably be easier
I got this cherry pittee to use for olives because I make a lot of Greek food. It works pretty well for kalamata olives, but not too well for green olives that hold tighter to the pits. I'm sure it would work better for cherries because some of the smaller olives were pushed through the pits holes but cherries wouldn't have that problem. I wish the green pusher part was able to be cleaned easier. It doesn't come apart as far as I can see, so just have to swish it in water and hope it dries out okay.
