When it's cherry season I LOVE this cherry pitter. I used to have one that only pitted 3 cherries at a time. Pfft. I got this one several years ago and have used it regularly. I loved it so much I bought my dad the same one when he expressed an interest in wanting to eat more cherries, and he said it worked well for him too.
Love this device. Was tired of pitting one at a time and having device fall apart. This tool is great.
It doesn't always get all of the pits. But this is easy yo use and takes minimal force, unlike fully plastic ones
I love this cherry pitter. Used to have one that did one cherry at a time and was handheld, but I had to do it over the sink because it made such a mess. This one does six at once, and the juice doesn't splatter. It works best if you position the cherry so that the prong will Pierce each cherry where the stem came out. I always count the pits to make sure it got them all. This one is a gift since I liked it so much.
Tried and tried. Out of 18 cherries this thing removed one. It's a great concept but just does not work. I even tried one cherry at a time and moved them around. The pit would just slide out of the way. I ended up with a bunch of juice and mush. Ended up putting them by hand.
I bought this a couple of years ago and am thoroughly pleased. I purchase another one just recently to give as part of a birthday present to a friend who enjoys cherries as much as I do. You may not use it every day or month, but well worth using when you do. Recommend this especially for seniors.
