Game changer for pitting cherries
I was excited and dubious about this, and was glad to see that it is as easy to use and works as described, making it a game changer for me, being able to quickly pit 7 cherries at a time! This is so easy to load, just three parts, and after taking stems off, putting cherries in, pressing down on the large button/plunger, it pits all of them at once! I like that the bottom section is clear, so I can see clearly that the pits came out, as well as when it fills up, because you can do several rounds with this tool before emptying out the pits. And the bottom section collects any juice! I used to get juice all over a cutting board when pitting cherries, and would stain everything, including myself, with dark, red cherry juice—no more! This catches everything, and it is super easy to take apart and clean the 3 sections. Now that cherries are coming into season, I can see that I’ll be using this a lot. It can be used with less than 7 cherries at a time, too, but I get 2lbs of cherries at a time, so this will help me out immensely. Such a deal, too, for what it does!

Doesn't work well and impossible to fully clean.
This cherry pitter does not work well. I never had any pits fall into the bottom, they all stuck to the end of the cherry. The pitter is not deep enough and the pit hole is too narrow. It didn't matter what size of cherry I used. Not to mention impossible to clean the top. It is still faster to use this tool than going by hand, but you are still checking every single cherry. Skip this cherry pitter design.

Pits lots of cherries!
This tool is so cool! I love cherries but can’t stand dealing with the pits, and this makes the process quick and easy by allowing you to pit multiple cherries at once. It’s also easy to clean, though the area where the pitter retracts isn’t accessible to open, which could make deep cleaning a bit tricky. Other than that, it works great and has made cherry season a lot more enjoyable.

Very good tool
This is a great little Cherry pitter tool. I have previously had the handheld Cherry pitter that will do one Chariot at a time, it is stainless steel. Which I definitely prefer to plastic. I don't really like using plastic, but they don't seem to make a multiple Cherry pitter in stainless steel. So I did decide to get the plastic one. You can put seven cherries into it at a time. And you simply push down on the handle and the pits are supposed to pop out of the bottom. Now, as to how well it functions, let's start by saying yes, it does push the pits out. But it does not do so as neatly as I would have liked. Many of the pits are still attached to the Cherry and a lot of the time they are still inside of the Cherry even though there is a hole out of the bottom. My daughter got the great idea to push down on the handle four or five times, and after doing so, almost every pit was out of almost every cherry. So if you're willing to do the extra of pushing down on the handle multiple times for each set of cherries that you are pitting, this would work perfectly for you. As a reviewer who's supposed to be completely objective, I will say that to me if it's a cherry pitter tool it should put the Cherry every time without needing to do it over and over again. That being said it does do exactly what it should do, so I did only got a star for the fact that it has to be pressed a couple of times. Because you do end up with nicely pitted cherries that you can just pour out and cut in half for your 2-year-old. Which to me is a Time saver. I definitely recommend it for the price that they're offering it at.

Waiting cherry season!
I’ve always wanted to get a cherry pitter, but now that I finally have, I realize my timing was really off. Cherry season is still a few months away, so I will be prepared when it gets here. But in the meantime I thought I could use this for olives, but apparently all olives come pitted now! Who knew? Even Kalamata and Castelvetrano! So this is going to have to stay in my cabinet, while I wait impatiently to get fresh cherries and update this review. Until then, it gets 5 stars because it looks like it will do what it’s supposed to, and it’s cute!Update- 6/29/25: Finally got to pull this handy little device out of the cupboard and put it to use. And we were not disappointed! I had actually forgotten about it until my husband came home from the store with a bag of cherries. He was delighted that I had acquired a device to remove the pits, and we sat down as a family, unpitted 2 pounds of cherries! It took a couple of tries to figure out the best placement of the cherries (it will remove the pits regardless of the position, but I found upside down placement left the smallest hole). It took a little more force than I thought to push the lever down through the cherries, but even my son was able to do it. I was skeptical about washing it after reading complaints about that, but it was really pretty simple. I extended the prongs by holding the lever down, then brushed any juice and leftover pieces of cherries off with a small brush (a straw cleaning brush works great!), then I rinsed it while still extending the prongs, but holding it so the prongs were down so water didn’t collect inside. When I was done, I released the lever and shook any water out that might have gotten inside and left it to air dry.I’m super happy that I got this!

Difficult/Impossible to clean inside red top
When I saw this cherry pitter, I was looking forward to trying it because I've thought about getting one for years. It arrived very well packaged and quickly, so I tried to buy some cherries to try it out. Unfortunately, I can't find any in our stores. However, I did look the product over carefully and noticed that the red top piece is only 1 piece. To pit the cherries, you press it and the plastic pieces that will pit the cherries extend out and push the pits into the bottom compartment. When the plastic pieces go back into the red top piece, they will have cherry juice on them. Unfortunately, there is no way to clean the inside of the red top except to run lots of water through it, but then there isn't a good way to dry it. I think this is an issue because mold can grow inside, and you couldn't see it or clean it.So, for me, that makes this a 1 or 2 times use only product which is a shame because otherwise it looks great.
