Pretty tea gift set
This ceramic tea set comes in a beautifully printed box with matching gift bag that really adds a touch of elegance to a gift. This box has everything packed into a foam insert and the tray is packed underneath the first layer of foam. The ceramic has a well done and pretty motif on every part and the teapot even has a metal handle. The handle is wrapped in jute twine which diminishes the perceived value of the set a little bit. The glaze has a subtle crazing which really suits it. The draining tray is bamboo on top of molded plastic which is normal for a low-end tray, and I noticed mine is broken. If this were a gift, that would be very disappointing to get a broken piece and I am sure it happened before being packed because there is nothing in the package that could press so hard against it while it is in transit. The cups are all a nice size and so is the teapot, it’s a very nice set. I am very excited to wash it up and try it out at one point with friends. One thing that would go well would be a filter for the tea leaves. While the tea pot has one built into the spout, it would be nice to have a filter to catch the smaller pieces. Still, it’s very cute and would work well too with tea bags.
