After going back and forth with myself about spending almost $40 for a butter dish, I gave into my whims and couldn't be happier about the purchase! I'm slowly transitioning my kitchen to red accents with red and white polka dots and this gem fits the bill perfectly! Extremely well made, the color is bright and "clean". An added bonus for our butter loving abode is it easily holds two sticks of butter without smashing the sticks together. The packaging was phenomenal, no risk of the ceramic being damaged as it moved through all shipping phases. Dang, I can't believe that a polka dot butter dish excites me more than my well-worn crockpot!

Great butterdish

First of all, this a cute butterdish for 2 sticks of butter, which is what I wanted. I was extremely impressed with the packaging. Why? I had ordered some heavy items, and this butter dish was packed with them (one box). Who does this? Well, whoever did the packing, had packaged the butter dish so well, as well as packing the other items so that the dish wouldn't be damaged, did an impressive job. The only problem was that it took a while to remove all packing around and in the butter dish. A problem I was happy to have. Thank you to those who do the packaging. And I love the butterdish.

Came exactly as describled

I was searching high a low for a european-size butter dish not made in china, but also not astronomically priced. So glad I found these. The lid is sturdy but still light. It looks like it isn't be bulky and heavy, but it's not. This is the perfect dish if you don't want to worry about it being too small for whatever butter you might choose to buy.
