This CUBARO ice maker is truly a game-changer for cocktails and whiskey! The 2-inch clear ice cubes it produces are fantastic – perfectly clear and dense, just as advertised. They melt incredibly slowly, which really makes a difference in keeping drinks un-diluted and flavorful. The hard plastic outer shell feels robust and premium, a definite upgrade from flimsier models I've seen.My only reason for not giving it five stars is that sometimes getting the cubes out can be a tiny bit tricky, even with the "easy-release" silicone. Based on the reviews I read I decided to purchase this even though the price was more than I wanted to pay. I love using the large cubes and spheres when making a cocktail as the ice doesn't melt as fast as regular cubes which can water down the drink unless you drink it fast. I've always liked the clear spheres because they make the drink look more upscale like you would receive in an upscale bar. They also make for great conversation when entertaining guest as most aren't used to seeing clear ice in someone's home and they want to know how I got them to freeze clear.The process to make them was simple and easy to remove when ready. Just follow the directions which tell you to pull on th handles on each end and then lift slowly on each end until it comes out.
