Update! Blade doesn't fit well

😁😁 UPDATE!I was frustrated when I received the knife and couldn't use it (see below). I ordered a replacement and received it quickly. As sometimes hope life goes I didn't get to try it right away. I just used it tonight and WOW! where had this been all my life?! As you can tell I chatted the star rating to 5 and boy does it deserve it. The blade is not bowed and works phenomenally. It was super sharp and cut the bread like butter. I'm VERY happy with this purchase.The seller did reach out to check to see if the replacement had come and if there was anything they could do.🤔🫤 I was very excited to get and use the knife. I don't think it's going to work very well though. It seems like the holes to connect the blade is a bit off so the blade is not straight 🥺

Great sharp knife.

This works pretty well for cutting through a loaf of bread. It goes through crust pretty well. The only down side is that it doesn't work on a loaf that is too wide. I have used it on homemade sourdough and it did work great though, as long as the loaf isn't too wide.

Almost Perfect.Cuts bread nicely and my wife is using it almost every day.We have been making a lot of homemade bread lately and the biggest choreis cutting it. The crust on artisan bread is much tougher than the store bought bread.Love the removable blade, it comes with 2 of them but I am guessing cutting bread the first one will last for many years.The wood on this is also nice quality.My only negative is the angle of the cutter to the wood holder.It does give you a guide to make better slices and its opening is perfect.But when you get to the bottom your hand is on the cutting board so you a have to tilt the bread to finish.I guess you could put the bread on a riser and this would work flawlessly.

Wow!!

The wood is beautiful on these two items-very smoothly finished and good grain so that the handle will not be failing along a grain line or something. The thing that is amazing about this is the scary sharpness of the blade!! You could part out a wandering yeti with that blade! It's so sharp that I have been searching for a place to store it where I won't accidentally get cut by it when reaching into a drawer. I suppose that I could remove the blade after each use and store it in the included sheath but that seems like a bit more work than I'm willing to do. Certainly, this is a GREAT bread knife and though the width of slices means that I will be cutting my sour dough bread from the end instead of from the center sometimes, being able to cut sourdough at all is quite the chore. Definitely worth getting!
