Best Budget Coffee Scale I have ever used - Just as good as the $200 coffee scale.
This is an easy decision. I have had $10 scales and $150 coffee scales. This scale at $30 is every bit as accurate and easy to use with real time information as the $150 scale. If I am being honest, these coffee companies charging $150 for a scale are crazy, it is a madness that people pay that money. I have a full coffee bar at home - thousands of dollars in kit - and this scale is all I need. What does a scale do, it weighs stuff - that is all it does. If you want the fancy app and a blue tooth controller then go to Acaia or Fellow and order their $200 scale - yet this $30 scale literally does the same thing. Understand, a $200 scale is just as likely to fail in calibration and accuracy as a $30 scale - I sent back my last $150 scale because it would not re-calibrate to a 100g weight while my cheap $15 Amazon scale would. The fancy Bluetooth scale was a paper weight. Why am I spending so much time on this review? To help you! Coffee Scales are the wild west of the industry; it is nuts what companies are charging for low quality; vote with your wallet and stop buying those expensive scales because they are just as likely to break, are not properly supported, and do the same thing.

Fantastic value, excellent features, well worth it!
Excellent value - fairly accurate scale, but only 3 digits. Has ratio read out as well as flow - very rare at this price point. It works well in various modes and offers a huge value!! If this is your price range, this is your scale. Not perfect, the read out is a bit small and crowded, working within the unusual shape of the scale. It could be a bit brighter but benefits readability with different colors. Plastic feeling with an odd piece to put on top of the scale, none of the negatives should dissuade you. You probably need to spend close to $100 to get all of these functions in a more solid scale.

Works great but can’t see buttons
Awesome to have ratio on there! A must so so thinking in the AM when doing rover coffee. Very much dislike that the buttons area is impossible to see since they are labeled in the same color as the scale..

About 85% of the way to perfection.
First off I do really like it and may come back to give 5 stars in the future, but right now it needs a little improvement. The scale is an amazing tool for pourovers that can really standardize your brew. It takes the coffee-to-water ratio calculation out of the equation. It functions well. My procedure is this. Bring water up to temp. Place a paper filter in the pourover. Pour the hot water on the filter simultaneously preheating the pourover flask. Then, dump the preheat water and set it on the scale and turn it on. It automatically tares for the flask weight. You select your brew ratio. I like 1:15. I add the coffee of 42g. It automatically determines you need 630g of water for that. I press the timer button. As soon as watrr starts to pour, the timer starts. It registers total water added and flow rate. As you hit target water it beeps to tell you to stop. That's all great. The machine itaelf is pretty easy to use except that the buttons are pretty difficult to see. It does make for a slicl appearance. The screen is a fot matrix and is totally good. I disagree with the review saying it is overly cheap. It's bright and the resolution is fine for such an item.It comes with a rubber pad that I really like. The problem is that it's a separate item. It's not even adhesive backed to stick it to the machine. No suctions cups. So, it's always moving around and makes it look bad. I wish it was either a rubber over molded platform, or some way of better clipping it to the weigh table. Maybe I'll two sided tape it or something, but it feels like an afterthought. The USB-C charging is a great move. Everyone should have some cords for that at this point. I personally would have preferred rechargeable AAs, but hopefully the battery pack is servicable. One other minor grip is that this could so easily also be an espresso scale. The title said espresso, so I guessed it could handle a 1:2 or 1:3 espresso ratio, but no luck. It is literally a couple lines of code to make this do that. Such a strange decision.Look good. Functions well. Feels well built. Overall a good value. So should you buy it? Yeah, probably. If you can't find a more versatile or well built one, then this one truly is a great product. It just needs a couple fixes to be perfection:1.) The rubber mat is an excellent idea. It makes a glass stick to it and cushions the scale. Could it be made to somehow actually attach to the scale?2.) Perhaps espresso ratios could be added (e.g. 1:1, 1:1.5, 1.75, 1:2, 1:2.25, 1:2.5, 1:2.75, 1:3). A separate mode may be ideal.Edit: I originally gave this 4 stars. I've used it three months now. I'm coming back to give it five stars. I love it. I stand by it being cool to include espresso functions if it going to advertise espresso, but it is an amazing five-star pour-over scale.

A quirky scale that rewards the pour over purist. Read this before you buy!
This scale does things totally different than the majority of others; which makes it stand out, but it's not for everyone.Right out of the box this scale has a look that's very retro future. Retro due to the pattern on the weighing area and off-white cream color paired with the bright multi-colored matrix display. Very cool! One minor critique is that the buttons are a little hard to see under low-light conditions. With enough use you can figure out where they are without looking, but this has a steep learning curve in general and this adds to it.As far as the functionality and intuitiveness... you will need to read the instructions prior to use. If you are looking for a scale that you turn on, tare your cup, weigh the beans, and go... well you will scratch your head with this scale. To access a mode like this you need to press the power button and then probably tare to 0. I'm an espresso drinker and this scale could work for me, but isn't the best for my workflow. Here's where it gets good, and saved me from giving it less stars, if you do pour overs and are willing to learn this scale then it has the potential to be your favorite. Why do I say this? If you use a pour over setup you can set it so this scale automatically removes the weight of your pour over filter; which actually removes a step. If you know what ratio you like you can set it and it will calculate how much water you need based on how many grounds you have in the filter. That aspect of it is awesome because if you do the set up and learn the scale it can actually save you steps in the future if you are a pour over person. This is a scale for pour over coffee enthusiasts willing to learn the product. If that's you then you will love this in a way that most other coffee scales can't compete with. If that's not you then you will find this cumbersome. Very niche and very lovable.
