Very good kettle, it looks great on my counter and is easy to use with a minimalistic design. It heats up quickly, make sure to lower your boiling temp if you are at a high altitude as it could boil over when filled to the max.
Sturdily constructed as well as pretty to look at. Heats quickly and has a reheat option if left and it drops below your required temp.
A gift for my niece for her college dorm. She absolutely loves it!
I purchased this kettle to replace my well used Fellow kettle. I chose not to buy another Fellow because of the boiling splutter over it sometimes has. First, the things I like/love about this kettle- the artwork, I loved the artwork and overall look of the kettle. I love the round base and simple buttons, the gooseneck spout, the precise temperature control and it heats quickly, the weight and balance of the kettle when you hold and pour, the pour itself is very flexible and controllable-you can have a stream just above drop size or a fully round and twirling full stream of water. I use this kettle for matcha and tea and cooking (but not coffee) and I love it for all of those. Especially for matcha because you have precise temperature control. Temperature control and a very controllable pour when cooking has been very useful. For example, need to add just a little water to a sauce? Heat up the water and you can add the water at the same temperature as the sauce and the pour allows you not to have a splash out or overwatered sauce. The cord is 3’ long which seems to be a good length. And the size of the kettle is also a good size. Now for the wish it was different/ suggestions portion- the kettle leaks, just a little when you pour from a full kettle. However, there’s no scary splutter so that is an improvement over my Fellow kettle, the lid itself fits but the seal could be better, the buttons are a bit unpredictable when pushing, they work fine but they seem tricksy and the knob feels a tiny bit too tight when you turn it. The button light is odd because bright white is “off” and a dimmer amber yellow is “on”. My personal preference wish list- stop putting the fill line on the same side as the handle- it’s in the wrong place to see and fill at the same time. The natural place to see the fill line is where your eyes would look while holding the handle. Please remove so many “Cocinare” markings everywhere- you have this beautiful artwork and you cover it with your name, maybe just pick one side instead. The embedded “Cocinare” on the kettle handle seems to add to the grip which is clever, and I like the silicone grip on the handle. The look of the plastic on the lid and handle don’t quite flow with the look of the paint and artwork. Amazon asked for a comment on stability so.. the kettle base fits very securely, no wobble, and the base slopes so water will drain away. I like the round base and it makes the footprint smaller than many other kettles. Overall I really like the kettle and I love the art, it brightens up the counter and it makes a beautiful and useful object.(The photo with the 16 oz. mug is for a reference on the size of the kettle.)
Before this kettle, I would just use "hot" water, which was either "volcanic lava" or "lukewarm disappointment." Now, I am brewing at exactly 205℉, and the kettle holds that temperature with the dedication of a Swiss watchmaker. I’m convinced the M9 is judging my old methods. It makes me feel like a coffee sommelier, even though I still occasionally burn the toast. The gooseneck spout is a marvel of engineering. I can pour with the kind of slow, deliberate control I typically reserve for carefully peeling a stubborn sticker off a new appliance.
I love it. The kettle looks so pretty and works well.
