I enjoy making cocktails as much as I enjoy drinking them.
I love to mix a Manhattan in this glass! The ridges in the glass are classy, it’s sturdy (our other glass mixing glass broke ) and it’s tall enough to mix several servings. Highly recommend.
The small designs on the glass add a nice touch of elegance. It has some decent weight to it, but it's easy to use and hold. It pours really well, and doesn't dribble or spill.
I ordered this on 12/01/23. i have used it less than 10 times and tonight (01/15/24), I was stirring a drink when I heard a large crackling noise. And to those wondering, no I do not stir like a caveman. Very disappointed with this purchase
If you're like me, you really appreciate classic cocktail mixing at classy restaurants and bars. I love watching a really skilled bartender in a high-end establishment perfectly assembling the right ingredients to blow your tastebuds away. And the one common element I always see is a crystal mixing glass. I've always wanted one, so given the chance to try one out, I knew I couldn't say no.This mixing glass is 100% perfect! I could not ask for a better example of a classy mixology vessel. This is fine crystal, not some kind of cheap knockoff. The design is stunning and it is the perfect size for mixing a single, double, or triple of your favourite classic concoction. As my pictures show, it is about 1.5x the size of a regular soda can, which means you have plenty of room for mixing a perfect Old Fashioned, Negroni, or whatever your drink of choice is. Whether you want to mix it chilled or neat, this is the perfect container to turn mixing into an art.Honestly, if you love a good mixed drink and want your guests to be wowed at your bar setup, this is a definite must-have. It is beautiful, elegant, and will not disappoint.
Did I need a crystal mixing glass? No, I did not need a crystal mixing glass. Did I get a crystal mixing glass? Why yes, yes I did get a crystal mixing glass! Will I use it as a mixing glass? Probably not but I could...This is a really nice piece. It's heavy enough that it isn't going to tip over or shatter when you are stirring with a bar spoon. There is a nice spout on it that looks serviceable. The pattern is a little like the Waterford Lismore pattern, so if you are looking to coordinate, this would be the one.I have an assortment of crystal pieces that I use for décor and this fits in well with them. I will likely end up putting it into service from time to time as a vase because I don't respect labels or stated functions. You can't make me act properly! You could use this for serving salad dressing and impress your guests!Very nice addition to any bar set up. As well as just a nice looking piece for those of us who enjoy crystal pieces.
I've been very happy with this mixing glass over the past few weeks. It's very solidly built and the bit of etching around the lower half makes it a classy addition to my little whisk(e)y shelf. The Art of Craft folks did put a bit of branding on it, but it's on the bottom where it's only seen when you pour. I can live with that. And the Hawthorne strainer they sell fits perfectly in it.Its greatest strength is also its greatest weakness. It's very substantial and bottom heavy. It's not going anywhere while you're stirring. But that also makes it a bit awkward when you're washing it. If this thing ever breaks, it will be because I fumble it in the sink. But that comes with the territory. Until that eventuality I'll enjoy having it to mix my Old Fashioneds and Sazeracs.
