Crystal mixology set – quite stunning!
I’ve struggled with this review because as a HUGE fan of crystal AND not a big drinker it kind of didn’t make sense for me to have it . . . but I couldn’t resist this mixology set. I have no experience with this so it was a first using these tools. Before I get to that, a few notes.They did a really nice job protecting this pitcher so it was delivered in perfect shape. Sure, it’s packaged well, as expected, but they also put a fitted plastic protector over the spout – brilliant! There are two pieces in the box – the crystal pitcher and the Hawthorne strainer.The pitcher is made of lead-free crystal and holds ~ 500 ml (~ 8 oz.) so you can easily make two decent-size cocktails. The listing states the pitcher is dishwasher safe and has a weighted bottom to make it more stable. You can definitely feel the weight when you lift it. The strainer is made of stainless steel and should be durable and rust-free. No mention is made of whether or not it’s dishwasher safe but I would guess it can stand up to the heat . . . but don’t take my word for it. Use your best judgment!When I finally put it to the test, I had some reservations about being able to hold the pitcher & strainer in place, one-handed, but managed to do it without spilling a drop. Since I like ice in a mixed drink, I’m not sure how often I would use this for its intended purpose. However, right out of the box, this set is functional & beautiful and if I end up not using it for mixology, there’s no doubt it will be become useful. It’s in keeping with my mantra – functional can be beautiful . . . and this set is gorgeous!The only thing slightly negative comment is mixology sets often include additional accessories and at a minimum, a muddler & mixing spoon would have been nice. The other accessories are pretty common place in a household but these two, maybe not so much. They won’t lose a star though . . . since it’s a lovely piece of crystal and offered at a really affordable price.

Great quality mixing glass
Ordered this set for the mixing glass, more than the strainer. The glass is thick and heavy, and has a solid base Really good quality and the volume/size is great. Easy to stir up cocktails in my home bar.The strainer works ok, but only in larger shakers it's seems. When I tried to pair with smaller boston/cocktail tins, it compressed too much and leaked a bit. But I just use my other strainers anyway.Big fan of the mixing glass though, great look/feel/value.

Amazing quality especially at this pricepoint
I was honestly not expecting to love this cocktail mixing glass set as much as I do. It feels like something that belongs in a fancy bar rather than sitting on my kitchen counter next to a bag of chips. The glass is thick and sturdy which is great because I have a bad habit of accidentally breaking anything fragile that comes near me. The weight of it feels perfect when stirring and it looks so good that I almost feel like I should be wearing a tuxedo when I use it.The strainer is surprisingly solid too. It fits snug and makes me feel like I actually know what I am doing even when I am just mixing a simple gin and tonic. The whole set feels professional but still easy to handle which makes cocktail night a lot more fun. I have made a few drinks with it already and every time I finish one I feel like I should open my own speakeasy. For the price this thing is a total win. It is classy functional and just heavy enough to make me feel like a real bartender without the pressure of actually serving customers.

I use this SO MUCH
This mixing pitcher is so good. It's great for mixing cocktails, and the strainer sits neatly on top, so it's easy to pour. It's made of a nice, heavy cut glass and it came boxed up safely and would be easy to wrap and give as a gift.Honestly, I use this for a lot of things - I water my indoor plants with it, and I mix protein drinks in it. So for me, this is a really functional pitcher for a good price.

Better looking than the pictures could describe, GREAT piece for any bar setup
Wish I could give this ten stars! This is a pretty heavy glass and makes it very hard to tip. It is very elegant looking and goes really well with my bar cabinet setup. Can fit about 2-3 mixed drinks in it, my picture shows 2c. of water in the glass and goes to the spout. The straining top fits tight and does not fall off when pouring. Everything was easy to clean as it went through the dishwasher no problem.
