Being new to opening coconuts I wasn’t sure what tools to buy. I checked out Amazon tools. I didn’t know if this tool would actually remove coconut meat, but I was willing to give it a try. To my delight I found the tool surprisingly perfect for the one job it had to do — remove coconut meat from the shell. Much better than a butter knife

This tool is great. much sturdier than butter knives that I used to use & don't have to worry about bending it. Like that it is not super sharp, that I don't have to worry about slipping & cutting myself. Just enough of a rounded edge to wedge between the the coconut meat & shell. I do this in several spots & large chunks of coconut pop out, making the job so much easier than the way I did it before.
