Fully completes its purpose, nice esthetic and easy to empty out when full.
Love my knock box! It’s sturdy and looks nice on my coffee bar.
Well made & cute! Takes up a lot of room. Easy to clean
This is at high quality knock box. The wood is beautiful and actually looks better than I thought it would! Works great 😃
This is quite a beautiful and large knock box. Keep in mind that it does take up a good chunk of counter space. The wooden base is solid and impressively weighty. The wood has been nicely sanded so that it feels perfectly smooth, and its relatively dark coloring looks gorgeous and elegant in my kitchen. I do feel that it’s a bit darker than the wood shown in the product images. It arrived with four rubbery feet on the bottom so that it won’t slide on my counter top and scratch its surface. That means that I have to store it so that I can easily lift it in and out of place, as it doesn’t slide easily enough to move it around by…uh, sliding it. The box I received did not include the metal brand tag attached to the front like the one shown in the product images does. The stainless steel basket drops right inside of the wood case, and it can be lifted right out. It doesn’t lock in in any way, which is just fine, because I can’t imagine this thing ever tipping over. I love how easily it is removed, actually, since that makes it easier for me to clean regularly. It’s got tons of space for grounds, too, so you can make plenty of espressos before having to empty this. I use the old grounds for compost and fertilizer, so it’s nice to be able to save them up and not have to take them outside constantly. The black rod that you knock onto is secured nicely in place, and it has a tad bit of softness to it so that it won’t damage your portafilter when knocking against it. It’s got a kind of rubbery texture that’s kind of tacky but not exactly sticky. It just has a lot of grip, I guess. This knock rod does not lift out and would require being completely unscrewed to remove it.Two extra screw-in nubs were included (see my photo), though how they‘re meant to be used eludes me. I’ve never needed them, so I guess it doesn’t matter that much. Overall, this knock box has been working really well for me, though it’s much easier to eject the espresso grounds from the portafilter soon after a brew instead of waiting until the end of the night, once the grounds have become fond of their home.
Like one of the other reviewers: The box was not adequately glued. One of the sides came off. Had to re-glue it. So, this wasn’t just a “one off” error.
