Decent, Affordable Replacement... But It Can't Escape the Duo's Main Flaw

As a long-time, begrudging owner of the Keurig K-Duo, I was excited to find this replacement glass carafe at a reasonable price point after my original started driving me crazy.On first look, the quality is exactly what you'd expect: the glass is solid, and the fit is perfect. It's a direct, seamless swap for the original. The only cosmetic difference is the solid black handle, which is a minor detail. Initial impressions were very strong; it immediately extended the life of my relatively expensive coffee maker.However, the reason for the 3-star rating ties directly to the Duo's infamous, frustrating flaw: the drip.For those unfamiliar, the original 12-cup carafe has a persistent issue where it fails to pour cleanly, leading to slow drips, counter spots, and the dreaded burnt coffee smell when dripped coffee sits on the heating element.I previously tried everything. I went thru a warranty replacement, and even sanded down the internal seam of the spout... I havent tried sanding this one yet, but it's the next step.This replacement started out promisingly, handling the first half-dozen pots with clean, drip-free pours. Then, inevitably, the slow, frustrating spotting began. While I'll grant that it is noticeably better than the original carafe I had, it didnt fix the problem, requiring me to wipe the counter after almost every pour.Ultimately, is this purchase worth it? Yes, but with a massive caveat. At the $20 price mark, this carafe is a practical investment to keep a $150+ machine operational. If you’ve stuck with the Duo this long, you’ve already accepted the drip.Since this is an exact 1:1 replacemtn, I assume the manufacturer simply replicated the spout design, unknowing inheriting the K-Duo's biggest flaw.If you need a replacement and are willing to accept the possibility of a persistent, minor drip, this is the most sensible option to continue your morning ritual. Don't buy it expecting a pouring miracle; you are legitimately getting an exact replacement of the existing carafe.
