There seems to be allot of controls and timer features on this scale. It seems that this scale is made for precise measuring. But in my case, I haven't used or tested out any of these other options, since I am using it to simply weigh out my proteins in grams.I am really glad I ordered this scale. Nice scale decent accuracy
Pretty decent scale with a .1 to .2 accuracy. The physical size of this is nice and small, which is great for several reasons. Number one it fits well inside of a drawer for easy storage. Number two it’s small footprint is versatile for fitting under espresso machines when pulling shots. Like most other scales on the market this offers a timer and several different weight measurements. It also comes with a rubber mat that fits perfectly along with a dosing tray. The dosing tray is especially nice because it spreads out the beans allowing for a nice spritz for RDT I used to have a calibration scale weight set and I would’ve liked to use it to check accuracy, however comparing it to another calibrated scale, it shows it can be off by as much as .2 g, however, that in accuracy is greater at lighter weights. It seems to be pretty accurate around the 18 to 25 g and up range overall for the price range and the accessories that it comes with this is a nice scale and definitely worth considering.

Try to avoid drastic temperature changes these can affect the reading accuracy of the load cell. As far as precision goes, I'm getting a huge variation roughly 1.3g over a 14 minutes of staying stationary without moving or changing anything in the scale. The timer maxes out at 10 minutes. I can rezero and get my same starting weight. It works, but if your expecting 0.1g precision your best bet is zeroing and getting your final measurement within 30 seconds.The scale has 4 function modes they all work differently, the main 3 are tied to coffee though I consulted a coffee feen, the type that worked at a major coffee company, does at home cold brew, and has elephant poop ground coffee. She isn't really aware of how the functions maybe useful. Odds are they are additional functions no one will use.

Very accurate (using calibrated weights). Confusing/complicated usage though.
This small, compact scale does the most important thing right: It is accurate. I checked the accuracy using calibrated weights from 1 gram up to 500 grams and it was spot on every time.There are two power buttons on this unit. A slide switch on the side next to the USB port enables power to the scale. If you use this to power off the unit, it will forget your settings such as measurement unit though. Using the touch button on top at lower right to turn on and off the unit will remember your settings. Note that there is no charging status LED on the unit. The display is clear and easy to read.There are four mode scenarios designed for various types of coffee you are making, manual, and M1-M2-M3. The little instruction booklet goes into lots of detail for each mode with the timings for each step. For simple coffee this is overkill although these might be useful for baristi making more exotic coffees.
