Precise Coffee Scale with Timer Perfect for Home Baristas
disclaimer: I'm a coffee lover and can't live without it!! With that out of the way, this coffee scale has elevated my daily espresso and pour over routine with its impressive accuracy and thoughtful features. The high sensitivity sensor delivers stable, drift free measurements, which is essential for achieving consistent coffee results every single brew. The scale handles a wide range from 0.1g all the way up to 2kg (4.4 lbs), making it great for measuring espresso doses or larger batches of beans. I really appreciate the dual timer functions that include both auto start timing when water hits the grounds and manual control for espresso shots, eliminating the frustration of failed triggers or random shutoffs during brewing. The compact, sleek matte black design fits perfectly on my coffee station without taking up much counter space, and the heat resistant removable silicone cover protects against spills, scratches, and slipping while making cleanup incredibly easy. The rechargeable battery lasts up to 30 days per charge with clear battery indicators, so I never have to worry about pulling out batteries or losing power mid brew. The easy to read display shows both weight and timer simultaneously. The physical on/off switch on the side takes a bit of getting used to if you're accustomed to touch activated scales, but it prevents accidental activation. The scale requires a totally flat surface to function properly or it will alert you about instability, which actually helps ensure accurate measurements. At $35, this is an excellent value for coffee enthusiasts who want barista level precision without breaking the bank. The scale is small enough to fit under a bottomless portafilter for direct brewing into a cup, making it incredibly practical for espresso workflows. Whether you're brewing pour over, Aeropress, or pulling espresso shots, this scale seems very durable and well constructed that also delivers the consistency needed to perfect your coffee craft and makes a thoughtful gift for any coffee lover looking to upgrade their brewing game.

Dimensions wrong but nice features!
Wrong dimesions posted! These are over 5 inches instead of the 4.1 inch advertised as well as almost twice as thick as the picture. However, this scale is accurate, stable, and can be muted! I like that the power button is on the side and out of the way. On my current scale, i keep accidentally turning it while moving it but this scale's power button really cannot be accidentally switched on. You can also mute the beeps by pressing tare and time at the same time. However, if you switch it via the side power button, the volume will come back on the next time you turn it on. To prevent this, I hold down the tare button to turn the scale on and off! However, it is hard to see the tare button when the device is off. The auto start timing is also incredibly useful for espresso!

Sleek, black, attractive on my counter. Can weigh very small amounts accurately. Great for espresso.
I have recently got an espresso machine for making espresso for cappuccinos. I've been having issues where it tastes great sometimes and not so great others. I've been eyeballing the amount of coffee I use but I've read that it is better to weigh it to get a consistent product. I thought that might be my issue so I needed to get a scale. I got this one and like that it is very small and the matte black is sleek looking in my kitchen. This scale goes down to 0.1g which is a very small amount yet it goes all the way up to 2kg (4.4 lbs) so it has a very wide range. It has an on/off switch on the side rather than turning on my pressing on the top and I can't decide if I like that or not. I'm so use to touching scales to turn them on and them turning off on their own after a set amount of time. I find myself pressing this over and over until I remember the switch. I haven't tested it, but I hope it has an automatic off so it won't run down the battery if (when) I forget to turn it off manually.I haven't tested with a known weight yet, but I'll assume it is accurate. I've tested with a few small things in the kitchen and it is reproducible in that it gives the same weight for an object if I weigh it multiple times. It helps me weigh a consistent amount of coffee each time so it allows me to be consistent in the espresso I am making several times a day.

Decent scale but not worth the price
It took me a few tries to get used to the timer and the weight reset buttons in the corners. There’s a slight delay in the timer, maybe half a second, which at least lets you know when to start pouring. I’m not a fan of the tiny toggle switch on the side. I like feeling a real switch, but this one is so small that turning it on and off feels difficult.I use it mainly for Aeropress and pour over and it works fine for that. I haven’t figured out the countdown feature yet, though it’s explained in the manual. Overall it’s useful, but I can’t say it’s made my coffee routine any easier. And sixty dollars feels steep for a basic scale with a timer.

Effective scale at a reasonable price
I love this handy scale! I’d consider myself an intermediate level espresso/coffee afficionado, with a fully functional collection of gear, and I find using scales essential for more consistent results when making espresso/coffee daily as I do in our household. It’s very lightweight and about the size of a small square saucer. I like the deep black shade…it’s more industrial and I prefer that aesthetic with my coffee gear. It has a silicone cover for the scale area, which is nice in case of spills and such, easy to clean and protect the actual scale. The digital display is easy to read and distinguish between the weight side vs. the timer side. It has timer functionality that can be used if preparing pour over, or espresso – that’s not my personal thing, though. I love having this little scale at my coffee station for measuring out my coffee grounds precisely for great results in preparing all of my espressos every morning. The weight is always accurate.I actually like that it’s rechargeable via USB-C and it’s said that a full charge should last 30 days, we’ll see. It seems durable like it should last for some time if properly used and cared for. Overall, I think this is a quality scale and worth its price.
