Although this is a Collapsible Stone Drying Mat, is listed as a kitchen dish drying mat, I actually use it as a shower mat, and it works wonderfully. The diatomaceous earth material is super adsorbent and dries every quickly, keeping water from pooling on the floor.One of my favorite features is the non-slip backing, it really stays, which makes stepping out of the shower feel much safer. The foldable design is also a plus, making it easy to store when not in use.Since this is a stone mat, it does feel cold on the feet when stepping out of the shower, so I recommend using it during warmer months. Works Great, But Watch for Discoloration/Color Bleed
This collapsible diatomaceous stone drying mat is a really cool concept and it works well overall. It absorbs water fast, dries quickly, and keeps the countertop looking cleaner than traditional cloth mats. I also like the foldable design—easy to store when you’re not using it.The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I noticed some discoloration and color bleed, especially when towels were placed on top of it. Darker towels seemed to transfer color, and the white surface can show staining easier than I expected. It still functions perfectly, but cosmetically it doesn’t stay pristine.Bottom line: Great drying performance and convenient design—just be careful with colored towels and anything that might transfer dye.

Unexpected effectiveness!
I bought this to use as a bathmat.I don't like fabric bathmats; they often slip and don't really absorb water, so they end up feeling gross and my feet are still wet when I step off of them. I've gone through so many trying to find something that works for me I just kinda gave up and usually throw a towel on the floor.I have no idea what in my head made me think a "stone " bathmat would work at all, but I am so glad I did because it is absolutely goated for that purpose.The construction of this mat is panels of a stone-like material on a sheet of thickened plastic. The stone has a brushed, woodgrain finish(photo below) and seems to be attached well to this plastic sheet. It comes with a small grippy carpet to put beneath it to keep it in place.I was initially concerned it would be slippery to step on, but not only does it not move, it actually absorbs the water in a way that feels like it's gripping the bottom of my feet.I can dry the tops of my feet like a normal person, and step off this mat directly into my slippers.It's so perfect for me that I want to take it with me when I travel, so the fact that it rolls up or folds flat is nice.I might never have known THIS was the way to go and would have balked at the almost $30 price tag if it had been suggested.But honestly, it is worth every penny and I will be getting at least more of these for my other bathroom.

Love this mat
I upgraded my dry rack tray to this after hearing in a reel that diatomaceous earth dries water very quickly and is more hygienic because it doesn't breed mold or mildew from the water sitting. The old dry rack tray would get slimy and have white powdery water residue left over. I really like that the dry mat is foldable because the feet of my dry rack perfectly fit in the lower spots where it folds. I really like this mat and am glad I upgraded to it. I've been using it for a bit and it does absorb water very fast. It's nice quality and looks fancy.

It works!
I was actually pretty impressed at the functionality of this thing. I bought it out of pure curiosity - yes, I am verified Vine reviewer and got it for free- but I was fully prepared to flame this thing if it sucked. It has a nice minimalist design. I appreciate the rounded corners, although I have a sneaking suspicion that if it didn't have these rounded corners it would be quite prone to chipping. It definitely feels quite brittle and fragile like a stone. well that's because it basically is- just one that very readily absorbs water.It is a bit of a sensory nightmare - if you don't like the feeling of a chalkboard or a chalky gritty texture holy moly this is top-tier chalky!And if you aren't careful it will actually scratch off on your dishes especially harder grittier textures like pans and pots.I also have been making sure to take special care to only bring this thing out on the counter is clean and the dishes are squeaky clean- I could easily see this thing absorbing the slightest amount of food stuffs or grime from dirty water and permanently being locked into it.Alltogether though it turns a seal of approval for doing its job and looking great and the wife loved it so that's the highest mark of approval in my book!

Unique dish drying mat
This is a really unique product. The mat is truly made of stone and is quite substantial. We ordered for our son's house and when he returns home after Christmas we hope to hear the details of how it works for him. However the mat appears to be very well-made and is quite thick. The flexible backing holding the slats together is of thick clear plastic. We tried putting water on the mat and it doesn't seem to soak up like a sponge, but a slower, more controlled absorption, so I'm not sure yet about the advertised "quick drying" feature.

Directions unclear, did not last
This map came with several parts and no directions on how to use. It came with a mat and then a rubber backing and a plastic sheet when using the stone drying mat, all the water pulled onto the plastic and did not get absorbed like it said it should. After a week or two it already started smelling moldy. There should have been more directions or an easier way to install this to make sure that it didn’t smell and absorb the maximum amount of water. The stone was quite cheap and was already crumbling after a few uses.
