Our family is small - just me and my spouse. We have a big ol' pressure cooker and sometimes you just want to make enough food for two, and not an army. I also needed a heat resistant bowl to do "pot in pot" cooking with my pressure cooker, and this seemed like a solution.I didn't have high expectations for these bowls...but oh my goodness, they are fantastic! They are super easy to clean, work in our microwave AND pressure cooker and are compact. High quality and I find that I'm using them multiple times a week! Steams veggies perfectly too.Love the glass bottom and the steamer insert too - this means you don't have to use it just for steaming and it's a versatile little set. In fact, we've replaced our steamer sets with these two bowls. the handles remain cool even when everything around and in them is piping hot. They collapse tightly together for minimal storage space. Would buy this again, and may end up purchasing sets for friends and family, and maybe another one for our household too!To give an example: I enjoy steel cut oats for breakfast, but it's not easy to make 1 little serving in a big 6.5 quart pressure cooker without burning or otherwise messing it up. I'm not even going to mention the cleanup. These bowls have been game changers. I've been using the smaller bowl to make a single serving of oats in my pressure cooker (on a rack) and it makes a wonderful breakfast with hardly any cleanup - just have to dump out the water in the pressure cooker, and the bowl washes out quickly.

Very sturdy and great in the microwave
I like that these are glass and silicone. We are trying to reduce microplastics in our food where we can. These are so cool because they collapse into about a fourth of the storage space. I almost want to get rid of my glass bowls because these seem to be much better for storing in the cabinets. I no longer cook frozen vegetables in the steam bags, I dump them in one of these and they come out perfect in the microwave.

It's a nice steamer, very convenient. The only issue is the steamer collapses in the microwave from time to time. That's why I usually don't expand it.

These are awesome
I love these! I can steam pretty much anything I can fit in them. Veggies, eggs, re-steam rice, and so much more. They are very easy to clean and so far the materials are holding up and they look and feel brand new after using them so many times already.The only thing that I don't like is when I'm trying to press the lid down, sometimes the side collapses. But that's a minor inconvenience.There was no funny smell to them upon opening when they were brand new. But just to make sure, I did wash them before initial use.Overall, I recommend these. Excellent quality. I was concerned that it would be low quality materials (mixed with plastics) but this is great. I like that it has a glass top and bottom. I ended up throwing out my previous steamer. I was going to keep it but these work so well, plus I can travel with them since they collapse, I figured I would never use the other one again.

My Favorite Microwave Cooking Dishes
These are amazing! They are obviously of very high quality and I use them for everything. They are especially good for microwaving oatmeal because, unlike other containers I've tried, they don't seem to ever bubble over. The bottom attracts heat so they cook almost as if they were on a stovetop, while the silicone stays cool and the handles make moving the dishes easy without collapsing the pot. I use them to cook, serve and store, cutting down on the dishes I have to clean. The removable steam rack and tight-fitting lid round out the functionality. This was the best microwave/storage purchase I have ever made. I love, love, love them!I discovered that what they are especially great at is steaming frozen dumplings and bao buns. Just add water to cover the bottom, set the dumplings on the steamer disk, put the lid on tightly and microwave for 1-2 minutes. Perfect!

No matter whether you adjust the little valve on top or not- it collapses in the microwave after 2 min. And that’s not for the whole steam time for harder veggies. I do not recommend
