I picked up this dehydrator about a month ago mainly for making jerky and dried fruit, and it’s been getting a lot of use since then. The 10 stainless steel trays give you a ton of space to work with - I’ve been able to do about 5 pounds of sliced beef in one batch which is way more than my old 5-tray unit could handle. The temperature controls are pretty straightforward, you can adjust in 5 degree increments and set the timer in 30 minute blocks up to 24 hours. I usually run mine at around 160 degrees for jerky and it takes about 6-7 hours depending on how thick I slice the meat. The double vents on the side do seem to help with moisture removal, I noticed less condensation building up compared to my previous dehydrator. One issue I have is the noise level - they claim 45-50 decibels but it feels louder than that to me, maybe more like 55-60, definitely noticeable if your running it overnight in the kitchen. The glass front door is nice for checking progress without opening it up and letting heat escape. Cleaning is relatively easy since the trays are dishwasher safe, though I usually just hand wash them with soap and water. The silicone sheets that came with it are handy for smaller items like herbs that might fall through the tray gaps. The auto shutoff works as expected, kicks in right when the timer runs out which gives me peace of mind if I’m not home. Build quality seems solid, all stainless construction feels sturdy and well-made. The silicone gloves they include are a nice touch but kind of thin, I ended up using my own oven mitts most of the time. For the price its a good value if you need serious capacity and don’t mind a bit of fan noise.

Ordered for a coworker and his dad who are outdoorsmen and hunt deer, to make jerky this fall. I will update this review as soon as they give me their feedback. They were excited to get it, and I can hardly wait try some of their jerky.So many colors to choose from! Arrived fast. It’s big and the box is heavy (handle tore and the driver dropped the box in my driveway trying to carry it with one hand).***UPDATE*** 5 star results, but nothing’s perfect. This dehydrator works exactly as expected and I mainly gave 4 stars because I don’t see where it has a pause function, which would be more convenient for checking progress at the end of the cycle to know if you need to add more time or not. According to the instructions, the timer can be reset, but not paused. It isn’t such a big deal because the fan does not stop when you open the door, so none of your settings are lost. I made one small batch of venison jerky to test and it tastes better than what I buy from my processer, so I’m happy with the machine! The top of the dehydrator was dented in when I opened the package and pieces of the packaging are melted onto the electrical cord, but everything functions well and is intact. The cord does not appear to be damaged, and the dent in the top does not keep the door from closing. I think the machine is just so large that the metal was easily bent in storage but the door still seals and function was not hindered.The fan/heating element detaches from the back for storage and cleaning which is convenient, but this is a commercial piece and is sized as such, so it does take up a good bit of space but “many trays make less work”. I am looking forward to trying my hand at other recipes and foods!It's possible that the bowed top is from when the heavy box was dropped in my driveway by the delivery driver when the box handle tore as he tried to carry it with one hand.
