I am impressed by the overall solid construction and the smooth rotation of the crank handle with the gearing feeling well-balanced. Installation was easy and the space saving design of the clamp-style mount attached to the edge of my counter without any wobble during heavy use. Functionally, this can opener shines in regards to speed and the stainless steel blade cuts through lids smoothly without any of the lids having jagged edges. This can opener was as described. I was not familiar with this type of can opener but with some initial review I was able to successfully operate this. With bulk food purchases a lot of money can be saved and this commercial size can opening is valuable to our operation. This functioned well in quickly opening large cans with a minimal of force and cleanly opening the cans. Once you bring down the blade and puncture the top of the can it was easy to operate the swing handle around to open the can. The opener is heavy enough to drop into the can and pierce the top to start the process. After piercing, it was not the smoothest operation, but once starting it flowed around much better. The finish of the opener was very rough and tough to get sparkling clean however.

Major heavy duty can opener!
I got this for use in our food storage room, where I have a table on one side set up with vacuum sealer and implements I need to do food processing. This can opener works great for those #10 long-term food storage cans, and once I open one of them, I can then break the contents up into smaller vac-sealed mason jars or chamber vac bags. If you don’t need an opener for the larger cans, you certainly don’t need one of these, but if you do major food prep and storage, this can opener will be a vital tool in your arsenal. There is nothing like trying to open a #10 with a wimpy little can opener!
