Very sturdy and works much faster than the smaller openers. So far I like it!
I recently got my hands on the RICKUNCL Heavy Duty Can Opener, and let me tell you, it’s not your average can opener – it’s like the superhero of kitchen tools! First off, it’s made of stainless steel, so you know it’s tougher than a burrito at a bad taco joint. The oversized knob is like the cherry on top. Seriously, turning it feels like you’re getting a bicep workout without even trying! My cans were practically popping open, thanking me for this magical tool. And the folding crank handle? Genius! It folds away nicely, making it easy to stash in a drawer without turning my kitchen into a can opener museum. But the real kicker is the magnet. Once you’ve wrestled with a can and it eventually gives up its lid, that little magnet swoops in to save the day by holding the lid like a loyal sidekick. No more fishing around in a pile of tuna salad disaster! All in all, if you’re tired of flimsy can openers that seem to have a vendetta against your pantry, grab this beauty. It’s strong, easy to use, and will have you opening cans like a pro. Plus, you’ll definitely impress anyone watching – who knew can opening could be a spectator sport?
I generally just grab the dollar store type of can openers but have grown frustrated with the sheer amount of force that it takes to open even a small can. This can opener has solved those issues. The magnet is strong and sticks to every type of can, even some of the “weaker” metal ones.I have never really had a can open with a big lever knob to turn, but this works SO great. It allows me to not have to really use full power to open cans and it makes it super easy. I generally don’t have BIG cans to open, but this would work on industrial sized cans as well.It wipes off pretty easily and I have stuck it in the dishwasher a few times with no ill effects (which is extremely important in my household). The blade is sharp, so worth being careful while handling. But that makes it easy to cut through every can I’ve used it on.It’s a little on the expensive side, but there has been no dulling so far. I think it will last a long time. Highly recommended.
I prefer manual can openers over the automatic ones. I've had a preferred brand for decades. Unfortunately the arthritis in my thumbs has progressed and cranking my can opener has become quite painful. When I saw this design with a handle and a knob I thought it just might reduce the pain I feel when opening even small cans. Boy, was I right. No longer having to twist a small handle mainly using my thumb has saved my thumbs so much. The magnet on this opener is very strong, makes sense since this is designed for commercial use on large cans. I had no problem with small tomato sauce cans and regular home sized vegetable cans. I still gravitate toward the pop top cans when I have a choice but I no longer suffer just to open a can. While it is larger and takes up a bit more space in my drawer the trade off is definitely worth it.
I really like this can opener! Ok, first, let's get it biggest drawback out of the way. It's big. Much bigger than your typical budget one. But that size is also its strength. The extra length gives you a lot more leverage. You can easily clamp down on the can and hold it in place, making the cutting easier. The added length also means more leverage for turning the blade and an L-shaped handle that makes it more ergonomic. The handle has a hinge that allows the L portion to fold flat for easier storage. It also has a magnet for pulling up the lid. It's made from stainless steel throughout, plus a couple of plastic wrappings to make the parts you hold more ergonomic and comfortable. Everything feels nice and stable with no wobbling. All in all it's a great design that has been a joy to use these past few weeks. I highly recommend it!
The difference in this can opener & others you have around the house or might buy at the store is basically just the length of the handle. You should take this into strong consideration while picking your next opener. It provides a lot of extra torque allowing the device to pop open can quicker and with much less effort. That's the big sell point for this one. The magnet is kinda handy. Could live without it. Most times the opener makes it around without leaving that little bit of metal you have to bend and twist at to get the lid off. Once they start to dull this will likely begin happening making the magnet useless ( down the way ) .Handle is comfortable enough and seems durable. However I have one issue with the size overall: If you have a small can you will run into trouble twisting the handle around. As of now its functioned well enough that I just lift the can off the table. But its a problem.Price wise at the moment looks a little high. There are electric openers around the same price. Are they great? No. Might not last you a month, but its a comparison.
This heavy-duty stainless steel handheld can opener works really well and is much more ergonomic on my wrist than a traditional can opener. It feels very solid and well made with sturdy materials. I also like that the crank folds down, which makes it easy to store. It’s simple to use, comfortable, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Highly recommended for both quality and functionality.
