No mess non-static KIDISLE conical burr coffee grinder!
I have a Cuisinart flat burr grinder that has served me for many years and is still running well. I would still continue to use it despite its loud noise and mess from static ground coffee, not knowing that there is such a machine that is quieter and produces non-static coffee without a mess!I took the chance buying this machine based on the limited but near 5-star positive reviews and its price. I am very pleased with this machine and glad to have made the purchase!I am using this machine mainly to grind dark roast beans for espresso coffee. I did not use other settings for drip or french press coffee and do not plan to do so. Please be aware of this early limited review.I am comparing some features of this machine with my current Cuisinart machine so that readerrs can appreciate themHere are my findings after the first run:Pros:-Its feel is solid and its look is aesthetic and expensive. The foot print is relatively small so that you can keep it on the counter.-Easy to assemble. User manual is clear and simple. There is an instruction sticker on top of the hopper lid to remind user how to clean it. The measuring scoop and cleaning brush are attached to the hopper lid for easy access which is a thoughtful touch!-The hopper is designed so that all the beans will fall into the burr without being jammed. My Cuisinart machine requires me to shake it or use a stick to make sure that the beans will fall into the burr chamber!! Its is smooth when dialing to choose the settings.-It is quiet, not whisper quiet by all means for this kind of grinder. My Cuisinart sounds like a running tank!-The receiving container fits almost tightly with the chute opening so there is no coffee falling out of the container during the grinding process. It is truly ANTI-STATIC with no coffee ground stuck to the container wall. All the ground coffee forms a neat small heap and is well contained at the bottom of the container. When you remove the container there is no mess, not even coffee dust on the lid of the container or around the machine! This is the real deal breaker if you want to grind your coffee frequently. The chute (facing downward) is clean without coffee ground remnant after use. My current Cuisinart blows its ground coffee from the opening perpendicular to the opposite wall of the container. So you can imagine the mess the static ground it creates with this design and the time it takes to clean the mess for the next use.- I set my grinding number at 5 ( its range is from 1-15) for the first run and the ground comes out even ( as expected with a burr grinder) and a little finer than table salt. My dark roast coffee tastes smooth without bitterness nor sour (acid). I am happy with this setting and probably will fine tune it a little bit.- You may over or under estimate the duration (amount of beans) to grind with the amount dial at the beginning. It is no big deal. You can turn the machine on or off with the push on the on/off button.-The container is sealed tightly with its cover and the small opening to receive the coffee ground from the chute is tightly sealed with the silicon plug. You can save the unused coffee for later use without worrying about its losing flavor.I give 5 stars for its design, value for money, noise level, size and grind quality base on my above findings.Cons:-None that I have encountered at this firs run. Considering its build, I expect that it will be durable. It is interesting that the manufacturer recommends that you run the machine no more than 3 minutes each time. I don't think that people would exceed that duration as it will be a lot of coffee to grind at one single time.I think you will be pleased with this machine as I am if you consider buying a conical burr coffee machine grinder in this price range (<$100). I use AI to search for the best or recommended similar machines and this one is not on the recommended list Don't pass over it because of the limited numbers of reviews, although 4 5-star!
