Fantastic 16 Quart Stockpot
I just had the 16 quart stockpot delivered, and am so impressed with the quality I was moved to write a rare product review (I was not provided with any benefit to write a review like many positive reviewers). I haven't used it yet, but I'm sure it will perform fine with the multi-layer base designed for even heat distribution. The fit and finish are about perfect, and the stainless steel sides are thicker than expected and very nicely formed to support the lid. The exterior is a high polish finish, providing a high-end appearance much nicer than I expected. The interior has a utilitarian brushed finish. The size is great, with a large capacity but still very manageable on the stove. It does fill a standard size kitchen sink for cleaning, but it works if you have a high faucet or a spray hose. The glass lid fits perfectly, and the top handle is secured with rivets that won't loosen over time like screws do on so many others. Also the steam relief hole in the lid has a metal grommet (appears to be the same stainless steel as the rest of the unit aside from the multi-layer bottom), instead of the common plastic ones that become discolored with use. The pot handles are sturdy stainless steel and permanently riveted in place. I imagine they may heat up with extended use heating, which is a good tradeoff for the durability and aesthetic provided by the steel material. This stockpot is a good value at the standard pricing, and an absolute steal at the sale pricing I paid. Very highly recommended product, just wish it was made in the U.S.
