Large, Sturdy Cookie Press with Great Versatility, But Lacking Clear Instructions
I ordered this Extra Large 3 in 1 baking set because I love to bake and wanted something that could handle churros, cheese straws, and spritz cookies all in one tool. I like that it includes multiple discs for different shapes, including the larger churro discs and the filling tool for stuffed churros. That part especially sounds fun to experiment with. The barrel is generously sized, so you can make more dough at once, and the overall construction feels sturdy and well made. For the price, it seems like a solid value compared to smaller or flimsier options.It also comes with several piping tips, which is a nice bonus. These work well for simple decorating such as a swirl on cupcakes or a basic border on a cake. If you are used to detailed cake decorating, you will still want a traditional piping bag and specialty tips for finer work, but for general use this set covers a lot of ground.My main frustration is the lack of clear, step by step instructions. There is an enclosed sheet with a recipe and some diagrams, and I included a photo of that, but it does not clearly explain assembly or exactly how to use the fillable churro feature. Tools like this are not always as intuitive as manufacturers assume. I found myself piecing it together through trial and error and even checking the listing for a video, which I could not find. Because of that, I am giving it four stars. The quality and size are good, and the price is reasonable, but clearer instructions would have made this much more user friendly.
