Very nice multi-purpose utensil

I really like this wooden scoop / spatula. The edge of the utensil is thin enough to get under food items to lift them up and I like that it has little sides to help hold food on so it doesn't fall off. A great multi-purpose utensil. I also really like that it is all wood and therefore safe to use on all pans and dishes....no scratching. It came with a light coating of maybe a mineral oil. I did not notice any kind of a clear laquer on it, which I did not want. I wanted to be able to coat it with oil myself as needed. I like to use olive oil to coat my utensils. A great utensil

Ive begun replaci g a lot of silicone and melamine utensils with wooden and this is awesome! Its a spoon, a stirrer, a turner, a spatula and its heavy and well made. I have-nots of wooden spoons but the wood is so porous I worry about contamination. This type wood has much tighter grain and when taken care of, should be much safer. It needs a little sanding, but that's no big deal. I'm glad I bought this.
