This lunch box has a chargeable battery. Its perfect for my daughter who works on campus and doesnt always want to eat on campus. She can turn it on before her lunch/dinner break. Foods warm and ready to go for her. She loves it. Very versatile.

The good first..Its a nice unit. Its game changing being able to set a timer, set the temp and put it away and just know it'll be ready when its lunchtime. It takes a bit of trial and error (fine tuning) to get it down just right but once you get some experience, its a real treat.The downside..Its not as powerful as a dedicated 12 volt wired unit. It will take 1.5 to 2 hours to get it up to full temp (if you set it up to highest temp) at full send, the battery will only last that 2 hours of heating. You will not get another lunch without fully charging it again. It doesn't get as hot either. My old unit would actually simmer the contents. This one will make it comfortably warm (sufficient) but not ..blow on it first hot. So if thats a problem, steer clear. If I had it to do again, I might opt for one with a bigger battery but that said, this one does get it done. All and all a good bang for the buck and priceless not having to remember to go plug it in before lunch.
Ten stars. omg this is the coolest thing you never knew was cool. I know, sounds stupid but I take this thing every time I have to drive somewhere for more than a couple hours. I even use it when I'm couch potato-ing a football game. Heats up pretty much anything you can fit in the metal liner. I've made meatballs, casseroles (really!), soup, nachos and even a hamburger in it. Easy to clean the liner with a little soap and a sponge. I don't use metal utensils or a scouring pad in mine to avoid scratches. Well worth getting one of these. I gave one to my wife as a gift, got a dirty look and then a week later a -massive- hug. She keeps hers at work. Anyway, get one. You'll love it.
This does not work as intended, it came with no instructions and when we did figure it out it took 3 hours to heat up and the food didn’t even reach the safe reheat temp of 165, tried to hope for the best and used it for 3 days and it never worked the way it claims. Don’t buy this, save your money because this isn’t worth it.
After a month and half of use I can confidently say this is one of my favorite purchases I’ve made in a long time. The build quality for the price is adequate. The use and function superb.There’s nothing I hate more than meats and certain vegetables being heated In the microwave. it destroys the nutrients and makes everything soggy or rubbery.NOW with this lunchbox those problems are non existent plugging it in adding just a teaspoon or less of water in and opening the steam vent after 30-40 minutes I have delicious hot food that taste just like when it was first cooked. Sometimes I’ll preheat the plate and add food to it after 10 minutes so things like a fried piece of chicken can get a nice searing and crunch to them after closing it up and waiting another 30 minutes.Cleaning the metal tray is super easy and fast.Make sure to wipe it completely dry before putting it back in the plastic base as to not waterboard the heating element.If you’re on the fence about it I suggest you give it a shot it’ll save you from enjoying sub par quality left overs for lunch at work.Everytime my coworkers come in the break room they talk about how good everything smells and looks.
