Even more convenient than a microwave in my opinion
This cordless heated lunch box from Dravel has been great for actually reheating food, and not just barely keeping it warm. I've tried a few electric lunch boxes before, and most of them topped out at lukewarm. This one gets properly hot. If I let it run a full cycle, the food comes out steaming and feels like it was reheated in a real appliance.I usually load it up in the morning with leftovers from the fridge. Around an hour before I want to eat, I turn it on, and by the time I'm ready for lunch it's heated through. It seems to work best with foods that have some moisture, things like stews especially, since the heat spreads more evenly and everything comes out consistently warm.The battery has been fine for daily use, but it does need to be charged every day if I'm using it regularly. Not a big deal though, and it's nice not being tied to an outlet while it's running, even if I do have to keep up with charging.The size works well for a full meal. The divider is useful when I want to keep things separate, and I like that it's removable so I'm not stuck with fixed compartments. The included cutlery is simple but handy, and the insulated bag makes it easy to carry everything together.Cleaning has been straightforward as well. The inner container washes up easily, and as long as I rinse it out the same day, it doesn't hold onto smells or stains. It's basically like cleaning any other lunch container, just with the bonus that it can heat the food too.It's made bringing my own food a lot more practical. I can pack real meals, reheat them properly, and not rely on whatever appliances happen to be around.Everything also seems well made, and it's very simple and easy to figure out how to use. The large bright display is nice and readable too.
