Review: Turelar Cordless Immersion Blender with Rchargeable Battery
This work horse of a blender is impressive. Not only is it very tall, meaning it can be emerged in a large volume of soup of liquid, it’s powerful without being explosive.I first tried this in a large stockpot of bean and vegetable soup blending about 1/3 of the total contents in mere seconds to give the soup a creamy velvety texture while still maintaining its chunky consistency. Before I had this immersion blender I’d achieve the same effect by ladling some soup out into my high intensity blender, blending and returning that portion to the stock pot, then repeating in smaller portions until I achieved the right consistency + washing out the blender. While that worked, this stick blender saves so much time and energy. The desired blend consistency all happens right in the soup pot and cleaning the immersion blender is also super easy. Spray with soap and run under the hot water. Or give it a quick spin in a pan of soapy water before rinsing.I also tried this on a much smaller scale in a 2.5 cup sauce pan where I was experimenting with a hi-protein hot cocoa drink, and needed more than a whisk to make the protein powder super smooth. To my surprise I was able to hold the blender completely parallel in this small pot atop my stove, hold the pot handle in my other hand, and create a suction to the bottom of the pan that spun and smoothed the ingredients without splattering it everywhere. Know, that if you create any angle with the blender in such a small pot you will achieve splatters, I also tested this and will not repeat that maneuver now that I know.I did not experiment with heat in either of these instances. It honestly didn’t occur to me that it is capable of creating heat until I started the review. I’ve had other immersion blenders that did not produce heat so I’ve never used once to heat food, and honestly don’t know if I will. Even without considering the heating feature, this is a large and powerful kitchen tool that works for both large and small jobs. I love the convenience of its cordless charge feature, and that it breaks down to half the length and fits in a drawer for easy storage. This product is at the high range of price points for immersion blenders, but it also has the largest heaviest battery, which usually equates to power and longevity. This model has the longest length and is the most feature heavy of any I have owned, so I feel like its current price point when I selected it, $80 is a neutral value.

Very Convenient
I’ve been wanting a new immersion blender so I thought I’d give this cordless one a try.Immediately I noticed the size. It’s about twice as big as my old device and a little heavy, but that wasn’t surprising since this one is cordless. I included photos with it next to a standard wine bottle to show scale. There are two buttons on either side of the handle and depending on what you’re blending determines which one you press first (liquid or frozen). This sounds simple enough but I can’t remember which one is for liquid and which one is for frozen so I just press them randomly. So far it doesn’t seem to really matter in a way that I notice. I would recommend putting some type of symbol or instructions on the device. It’s in the manual but I don’t want to have to pull that out every time.I’ve used it several times over the last few weeks and I do like it. It blends fast and thoroughly. I’ve used it on eggs and to blend beans to thicken a soup. It’s so convenient to not have to plug something else in. It’s easy to take apart to store and rinses off really well. The charge seems to last a while too. It arrived almost fully charged which was really nice but I did charge it the rest of the way. It has a blue light that shows you how drained it is and that it’s charging. I think it’s only gone down maybe 10% in two weeks.Overall I think the quality is nice and gets the job done. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is bc of the different buttons and needing to press them in a certain order based on what you’re doing and it not being on the device as a reminder. I’d get it again though.
