Didn't fit half of my ears (the corn were too big for the tool) but worked well when it did.

These "kind of" worked. I wish there was more of a "lip" at the bottom edge or hand grips on either side. When trying to strip the corn I often had issues with it slipping out of my hands. These are definitely more useful for skinnier ears of corn. Anything bigger than "Average" I've found to get jammed up on the "core" piece and because you have to strip these vertically I had a few ears come shooting out from the bottom. So make sure your corn has a good base.I do have to say, when you have the perfect ear of corn this thing works quick, easy, and zips off the kernels with ease. I have thought about attempting to use this with a McIntosh apple.I feel as thought the retail price is very high at $19.99 when I wasn't even able to use it on half my ears. Perhaps a $9.99 price point would be more reasonable.

The Corn Stripper: Kitchen Hack or Arm Workout?

I tested this out on cooked corn to see if it’s worth the drawer space. Here’s my take:The Highlights* Safety First: Much safer than using a knife! The blades are enclosed, so you don't have to worry about slips.* Dishwasher Safe: Cleanup is a easy—just toss it in the top rack.* Perfect for Braces: Great for anyone who can’t bite directly into the cob.The Trade-offs* Takes Some Muscle: It’s not necessarily faster than a knife. I had to use a lot of push and twist effort to get it through.* A Little Wasteful: It doesn’t get every bit of the kernel, leaving some behind on the cob.Overall, if you prioritize safety and easy cleanup over speed, this is a solid gadget that works well. It's a bit of a workout for cooked corn, but it gets the job done without the danger of a sharp blade!
