This is a high quality gadget that does exactly what it is supposed to do.It is easy to use, easy to clean and hassle free.Such a handy tool when we can our own corn.Cut the time down sooooo much!I prefer my corn cut off the cob, so this is great for meals too.I have used it with cooked and uncooked corn and it shears them with ease.No overly sharp edges, so it is presafe.Solid, quality, metal and construction.I would highly recommend this product.
Trying not to be too corny with this review, but I was blown away by the design, durability, and over all sharpness of this corn peeler! It was fun to use, so fun when I went to make the video I forgot to record! It was high quality and it turn a chore into an adventure for the kids! It was safe to use and hangs well with the hook! Great Christmas present for your corniest family member… sorry had to have one in there; however, great product!
I’ve been wanting a corn peeler for a long time and this is well worth the money! It’s easy to use and works amazing. My kids love corn but it’s hard for them to eat it off the cob so this saves me the trouble of cutting it with the knife and burning my fingers !
Takes a lot of effort. More then I thought I was going to have to put in for sure. Not that easy to clean. Ended up running it through the dishwasher as well and that helped clean it but stuff gets stuck in the little ridges and isn’t easy to come out. Does not fit homegrown larger size ears of corn. Cob needs to be on the small size for it to actually work. Was easier to just cut it yourself. No grips on the outside so it slips out your hand once you do a few ears. Which is annoying
I am going to gift this for a friend, however I can confirm this works. Probably better than you expect because it goes so low on the cob itself. Depending on how large of a piece of corn you have this will work like a charm. Bigger corn cobs tend to get stuck more. Otherwise it's easier to use. I probably should not bang it on the table or cutting board but it'll fly right through (just be careful). It surprisingly clears off all the corn and works well. The design is actually pretty good, simple to understand how you need to do it. The stainless steel is very nice, very strong and sturdy. When you grasp this in your hand it feels good, very secure. Since my friend likes his corn (normally uses a knife), I think they'll love this one. Great product, good quality, excellent value
Where has this been all my life? I really love fresh sweet corn but like many older folks my teeth don't like gnawing the kernels off the cob. Saw this tool and just had to try it and wow, game changer. I grilled some corn on the BBQ then sent it through the center of this thingie and poof, a bowl of fresh hot corn kernels all ready for garlic butter and a bit of tajin seasoning--took all of about a minute each to process all the ears. I like the way the tool fits in my hand, gives a good solid grip to allow the other hand to work the corn cob through the center. Works better than any tool I've tried and doesn't leave you with a bunch of mushed up cut kernels either. Neat!
I find this contraption difficult to use.It is heavy and bulky.Using a knife is far easier.
